Comments about Rokinon 500mm f/8.0 Telephoto T-Mount Lens:
This Rokinon (Samyang) 500mm is a perfectly decent lens. For my documentary film style, which is of composed shots, this lens works very well, and I've gotten some beautiful shots. For a run-and-gun filmmaker or photographer, the limitations of the lens might be a problem. And it does have some definite limitations: f/8 at its fastest; no image stabilization; and no auto-focus. But, as a filmmaker, I find it very effective within those limitations. The lens is physically well-made, being of well-finished metal. I use a t-mount adaptor from Vivitar (probably also a re-branded Samyang) and the 2x adapter. An amazing value.
