The 500GB G-CONNECT Wireless Storage for iPad and iPhone from G-Technology is an exceptional way to store extra content or backup files for your computer, iPhone, or iPad. The G-CONNECT holds up to 500GB of content, can connect to a network router via its Gigabit Ethernet port, and can stream or load content wirelessly. When connected via its Ethernet port, the G-CONNECT can also act as an 802.11b/g/n access point for other devices that support Wi-Fi. It also features WPA-2 security for password-protecting your wireless connection. Along with an Ethernet port, the G-CONNECT has a USB 2.0 port in case you want to load content to it from your Windows or Mac computer.

I bought this because I travel a lot and like taking my iPad to watch movies. This seemed like the perfect solution to the iPad's tiny drive space. This thing works as describes, but it lacks the oomph needed to make it perfect. There currently is no way to set up a file system. So basically all your movies and music are thrown into one large file that makes it difficult to find what you want. Also, it doesn't accept large files (up to 1GB I think??). Therefore, some of my movie files won't fit. That can be a pain for people with the new iPad3 with HD.
I would recommend this because there isn't anything better than it at the moment.

This is a great product but there are a few catches.
The G-Connetc is a wireless storage device that is simple to use and setup but there are a couple of catches.
To setup the device its a simple as pluging it in and following the instructions.
The instructions leave out a few things...that the device MUST have a 2.1 amp power supply otherwise it does glitch and there is nothing to indicate that it is not getting the right current, the wifi works but you get errors when accessing the disk drive.
There are no instructions in using an iPad to set it up, it assumes that you have a mac or laptop with wifi...you have to work it out yourself, since its for the iPad / iPhone / ( no mention of iPod ) you would think that they would include instructions for them.
would I buy it again "YES" great product from G-Tech, easy to use robust and well designed user interface that performs well.
