The black LCS-EB50/B Leather Body Case for the NEX-5N Camera protects the camera body from bumps, scratches and dust. It can be left on while using the camera but is easy to remove using the included bottom screw. It supports the strap that comes with the camera body. You can also attach an optional tripod to the case for steadier shots when the light is marginal. Another benefit of the case is that it permits the camera's LCD to tilt.

Makes the thin body a bit thicker. Not as snug on the sides as you would want. Makes it easy to set up to a tripod.

Sony NEEDS to re measure the this product and remodel it so that it would fix the NEX camer BETTER!. Installing the cover was easy but I have realized that this cover does not fit perfectly to protect all components. Especially the Left side of NEX Camera has a metal part pushes the cover so that it cannot come in to contact with body of the camera. This product had poor measurement and poor product development to start with!

As expected from Sony, a quality product.
Note: the Body Case is sold separate from the Lens Case (LCS-EL50). I bought the lens case first, and didn't realize you need the Body Case for the Lens Case to attach to!

Not much in the way of assortments so ordered it along with the great camera. One annoying feature is that it is not form fitted on the sides as the camera's built in strap loops leave a space despite the attempt to indent the interior of the case. As it is, the tripod screw is the only anchor that must be trusted, but it's tightly screwed on. I purchased another one I found online with this feature so will see if it is more form fitted. Also, I see snap buttons on the bottom so assume that there is another piece to this product (?)
