Comments about Pioneer BDP-140 Blu-ray 3D Disc Player:
My first BDP was a Samsung that I purchased 5 years ago. At the time, it a really nice player however over the years I've noticed that it loaded newer movies very slowly.
I decided to purchase a new player as I wanted the new features that this generation had, mainly the DLNA so that I can show people my photos on my TV that stream from my computer.
This player is _very_ fast; one of my favorite features is if I'm watching a TV show on DVD/BD, shut it off, the next time I power on it asks if I want to start where I left off and it loads it under 10 seconds.
One warning with this player, if you have the Pioneer VSX-1020-K receiver, you will need to unplug the LAN connection of the receiver or disable HDMI control on it- if not it will randomly reboot itself. Pioneer has confirmed this and has developed a firmware update- however you need to take it to an authorized dealer to apply the update. Another work around is to create a VLAN on your home network and separate the two devices that way.
