Hoodman's Glasses Model Hoodeye Eyecup for Most Canon SLR Models is specially designed for the eyeglass wearer. From its over-sized design, which seals out ambient light, to its rotating nature that accommodates right or left eyed shooters, this eyecup ensures that the bespectacled Canon SLR shooter can get their shot with ease. The self locking mount slides over the eyepiece mounting rails, keeping the cup in place. Additionally, the hypoallergenic silicon keeps irritation at bay for hours of comfortable shooting.

I have been using the Hoodman loop for several years, that was the first thing that saved my life while shooting in open spaces of sun and light. As I have gotten older, well you know things start breaking down, including our eye site. I have worn glasses for many years now and got tired of mounting my glasses on the top of my head when putting my eye up to the pentaprism of my camera.
The Hoodman eye cup is great if you need to keep your glasses on, set your diopter and start shooting! I have found that this particular Hoodman is great if you wear thinner frame glasses. I will also suggest looking at there HEYEC22G (Canon mount), for a larger cup if you need more space for your glasses.

Nicely made but doesn't work for me
I returned this item because it wasn't comfortable with my eyeglasses and it blocked the top of my Canon T2i LCD display, which made it very inconvenient to use with my Hoodman Loupe.

It was well made and I'm sure it would be OK with a different style of eyeglasses and if you don't use a Loupe to view your LCD in bright sunlight.

This eyecup is well made and many photographers wearing glasses may find it useful. But, I was surprised at how huge and bulky it was extending off the back of the camera. The worst thing about it is that it covers the top 1/4 of my LCD screen and for that reason, I had to return it.

Better than described. Seems a little bigger than it appears in the pictures, which is good. Have it on an XTI. Does hang over screen a bit, but what do you expect... A little pricey, but should definately do everything it was built for...

Works very good for me on my Canon camera. This is my second one. It's a little hard to see the entire view finder but that is no problem for me because I couldn't see it wearing my glasses any how.

Does help for photographers that wear glasses, but may not work with all styles or sizes of eye glasses. Great for landscape use, but very odd with the camera in portrait position. Not sure yet if I will continue to use this product.

Wow! This item brings a sense of steadiness and clarity to my Canon 50d. I like the sense of support I feel when I place my eye against the cup. This allows me to focus on the other dynamics of the shot. Great product

I used one in my 35mm days and decided it was time to buy one. Saw a Hoodman ad and went to B&H and ordered it. A must have for anyone who wears eyeglasses.

Comments about Hoodman Glasses Model Hoodeye Eyecup for Most Canon SLR Models:
Well it's the best eyecup available for those of us who use glasses, much better than the stock cup (I use a 40d), and better than a cheapo [@] find I tried out. It's not as good as the old canon ED-E oversize eyecup, but that only fits on film cameras. I still have to sort of squeeze my glasses in, and due to its shape I can't really get my eye close enough to easily see the whole viewfinder, which is something I could do with the old ED-E.Yes it blocks part of the LCD, but who cares, the histogram isn't block and that's the only thing that matters. It's a little pricey to for what it is in my opinion.

I put this on my camera and the smudges on my glasses came to a halt. Blocks glare from the sun. A purchase I'm glad I made. Would recommend to anyone who wears glasses.
