    Great LIttle Tripod

Perfect for putting our GoPro Camera's in small areas not accessible with a normal tripod. Great, flexible, multi use tripod, wraps around anything and holds its place. Good quality too!!

This little tripod is very handy. It can keep a tight grip on whatever you wrap it around, but I'm a little leery of the quick release. It seems that if you so much as nudge either side of it, it lets right go of the camera. Being as I use this primarily with a GoPro for action shots, I'm not too worried about damaging the camera because of how light it is, I wouldn't dare trust it with anything much heavier.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

The main thing that's good about this product is that it is portable. It fits inside the camera bag that came with my D3200 D-SLR easily. Since the arms are flexible, and the pivot underneath the camera is on a ball mount, you have a lot of control of the camera angle and positioning, so it is more versatile than most tripods that are portable.

The con is that it can be a little difficult to get the arms back in a standard shape after bending them to adjust to a shooting situation. A regular tripod works the same every time, all the time, which this one doesn't do without a little work; or unless you never make use of the primary benefit of this tripod, the flexibility.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

This tripod is great for many reasons...most of all being the price! It is easily attachable to the camera with or without a lens. The flexible legs make it increibly easy to make any adjustments in the angle of view with minimal effort...simply flex them accordingly to the angle or position you want and it will stay (this is made easier with the grid lines on the camera's display showing). After any adjustments you make, simply just flext the legs back into the straight position and you are ready to go. I was concerned with the weight load of my camera with a bigger lens but it does not give me much trouble. I use the Canon EOS-M Mirrorless, which is a smaller, lighter camera and the only negative I have noticed is that when using a bigger lens, the connection between the lens and the quick-connector attachment of the tripod gets a bit wobbly. It seems to be where the two screw in together. Simply using the 2-second timer for shooting is enough to help this issue. For the price it is something I am ok with. In some of the descriptions of the product it mentions the ability to use in unique situaions by wrapping the legs around certain objects...this is defintely possible and can allow for some very creative shots, but I would not recommend doing so with any type of medium to larger sized lenses attached.

I used this tripod to film an awards ceremony at my son's school. It worked beautifully with my Panasonic Lumix point-and-shoot camera. Easy setup, and I particularly like the quick release mechanism. Flexible legs also a plus. Highly recommend this tripod.

used this on a motorcycle trip - worked great.. i bought one of the original "monster" small tripods and it only lasted a couple months before one of the joints failed.. this one is flexible and i don't see the joints failing so easily. only negative i could possibly add is that i was a little uncomfortable with the head mechanism.. was scared to put my drift camera on it and hold it down toward the road.. not saying it would not have been ok, i was just a little timid about it as the mechanism IS a little on the 'loose' side..

This little guy is coming with me eveerywhere! you can literally bend the legs in half, and they won't break. They bend around anything that you can think of, and hold tightly once positioned.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

I needed a tripod for my new Canon Elph 330 and the MaxiGrip seemed to fit the bill. Its small, easy to carry, well made, easy to grip and very flexible. The camera is held securely in place by its detachable fastening clip that attachs to the bottom of the camera. No need to screw the tripod on & off each time its used. Also, it was one of the only mini tripods that was able to hold a camera up to two pounds. The others did not offer this feature, now I can use it with my camera and my Sony Handycam. Great!

I feel that its a good product thats reasonably priced. I would suggest that you compare against the others before making your purchase, I think you'll like what you see.

Lightweight, compact and increasingly indispensable outdoor gear. The foam legs make for a grippy handhold. It's surprisingly stable, has an adjustable swivel tensioner and seems well made. A Canon S120 with the Maxigrip quick release base plate attached easily fit into a pocket.

The MaxiGrip tripod was purchased to hold up a small LED light for macro work. It does the job and is flexible but it is a bit flimsy. I would only use it for extremely light tasks.

Only problem is the shoe mount is a little tough to get in sometimes!

I use this to put my cell phone on and make time lapse videos. It is perfect for any application, wether I am attaching it to scaffolding, trees, or just using it as a normal tripod. It grips well and it made of durable material. If you are thinking about buying it, don't think twice, it is a wonderful purchase!

Great for small point and shoot, and gopro.
SLR's are a little to heavy for this, but they do work.

This tripod had a neat little quick attach/detach clip. It is flexible and quite strong. we bought it to hold my wife's Zoom H4n but it will hold her Nikon D3200 with the H4n attached no problem.

Only downside I see is that the quick attach unit is plastic so it may not hold up well over time. But that is to be seen.
