It hasn't been a month since I purchased this item, but it is already broken. For starters, this small tripod is not working well with wind. It is not steady enough in the wind. Secondly, the connection between the head and leg is not stable enough. And the tilt and pan function doesn't work smoothly and firmly. The head is plastic, so when I tried to tilt the camera to hard, it's broken.
Now I am in this awkward situation, because of the broken head, not the whole thing is a junk. Where can I find some replaceable head?

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

Have only used it a couple of times, and it seems to do what it is designed to do.
I have Nikon P530, and this is at the high end (weight)of what the MaxiGrip can handle. The wrap around feature is super, and very adaptable. The interface with camera is to be used very carefully as it just doesn't seem too strong. I keep safety wrist strap attached when using it.
Getting ready to take it on Euro River Cruise, and expect it to be invaluable.
Portable, light and still provides stability. Just don't put a big frame camera on it.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Yellow):

This is a great little tripod to carry wherever you need it. So far I've only used it on tabletops but it is definitely handy. It's bendable so you can wrap it around whatever you need to, to get some stability. I have used this with my Samsung NX Mini as well as my Canon T3i (600D) so that will give you a range of the type of cameras it can withstand.

I like the tripod. Light, easy to use, pretty good quality. BUT...the rubber feet fall of very easily and cannot be replaced. You have to buy a completely new unit. I wouldn't buy again.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

I do long hikes where every ounce of weight counts. This lightweight tripod works fine and slips in cargo pants pocket. I looked at Jobo, but like the rubber covered legs on this model: easily slides into your pocket, holds and protects the little ball and socket joints, and the rubber is somewhat sticky and thus gets a tight grip on smooth objects.

I would be a little nervous using this with a 1000 g camera. My Fuji X-20 weighs about 422 g, and I would not want to trust a much heavier camera to this little tripod, especially when there is wind.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

The main thing that's good about this product is that it is portable. It fits inside the camera bag that came with my D3200 D-SLR easily. Since the arms are flexible, and the pivot underneath the camera is on a ball mount, you have a lot of control of the camera angle and positioning, so it is more versatile than most tripods that are portable.

The con is that it can be a little difficult to get the arms back in a standard shape after bending them to adjust to a shooting situation. A regular tripod works the same every time, all the time, which this one doesn't do without a little work; or unless you never make use of the primary benefit of this tripod, the flexibility.

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

This tripod is great for many reasons...most of all being the price! It is easily attachable to the camera with or without a lens. The flexible legs make it increibly easy to make any adjustments in the angle of view with minimal effort...simply flex them accordingly to the angle or position you want and it will stay (this is made easier with the grid lines on the camera's display showing). After any adjustments you make, simply just flext the legs back into the straight position and you are ready to go. I was concerned with the weight load of my camera with a bigger lens but it does not give me much trouble. I use the Canon EOS-M Mirrorless, which is a smaller, lighter camera and the only negative I have noticed is that when using a bigger lens, the connection between the lens and the quick-connector attachment of the tripod gets a bit wobbly. It seems to be where the two screw in together. Simply using the 2-second timer for shooting is enough to help this issue. For the price it is something I am ok with. In some of the descriptions of the product it mentions the ability to use in unique situaions by wrapping the legs around certain objects...this is defintely possible and can allow for some very creative shots, but I would not recommend doing so with any type of medium to larger sized lenses attached.

used this on a motorcycle trip - worked great.. i bought one of the original "monster" small tripods and it only lasted a couple months before one of the joints failed.. this one is flexible and i don't see the joints failing so easily. only negative i could possibly add is that i was a little uncomfortable with the head mechanism.. was scared to put my drift camera on it and hold it down toward the road.. not saying it would not have been ok, i was just a little timid about it as the mechanism IS a little on the 'loose' side..

This little guy is coming with me eveerywhere! you can literally bend the legs in half, and they won't break. They bend around anything that you can think of, and hold tightly once positioned.

This little tripod is very handy. It can keep a tight grip on whatever you wrap it around, but I'm a little leery of the quick release. It seems that if you so much as nudge either side of it, it lets right go of the camera. Being as I use this primarily with a GoPro for action shots, I'm not too worried about damaging the camera because of how light it is, I wouldn't dare trust it with anything much heavier.

                                    Nice little table top tripod
                                    Compact, good portability
A little difficult to get it back to that straight leg, but it gets pretty close
                                    Supports my camera well
Easy to adjust and to add and remove camera
                                    I would recommend this tripod

Comments about MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Black):

I needed a tripod for my new Canon Elph 330 and the MaxiGrip seemed to fit the bill. Its small, easy to carry, well made, easy to grip and very flexible. The camera is held securely in place by its detachable fastening clip that attachs to the bottom of the camera. No need to screw the tripod on & off each time its used. Also, it was one of the only mini tripods that was able to hold a camera up to two pounds. The others did not offer this feature, now I can use it with my camera and my Sony Handycam. Great!

I feel that its a good product thats reasonably priced. I would suggest that you compare against the others before making your purchase, I think you'll like what you see.
