Comments about Magnus MegaGrip Flexible Tripod:

This is a nice little tripod for point and shoot cameras or anyt camera which is't that heavy or has a big lens. It is good option if you don't like to running the whole day with your big and bulky tripod in a crowded city area. And there ara some place where you are not allowed to use big tripods. Because of the leg construction it can be bend to hand rails or small tree branches and use the camera timer to make a picture about you and your family.

lightweight and compact makes this easy to take on the go. The flexible legs wrap around fences, posts, benches and more. easily supports my Rebel GII. Only one issue that is frustrating -- the bottom legs balls need to be checked regularly and tightened. I've about lost one a time or two.

        Perfect travel tripod for minimalists

        By ysphoto

        from Ottawa ON Canada

Comments about Magnus MegaGrip Flexible Tripod:

Travelling with kids means that you need to carry more supplies than gear. This tripod did the job on my recent trip to Whistler.

Even with an extension on the top, this tripod folded in reverse to fit my shoulder bag easily.

I needed a tripod to shoot model train layout pictures, one that would allow me to position the camera close to the subjects and sit right on the layout in various positions. This tripod did the trick and allowed me to position the camera right in the middle of the scenery, over tracks, etc.. It's very flexible, with legs that can be shortened if necessary.

I bought this to replace my old Joby unit which literally fell apart, dumping my beloved Sony D-50 into Lake Washington. Just looking at the connections for the Magnus unit you can see that it is not going to fall apart without warning. The balls are mostly surrounded by the socket receivers, so it may get loose but won't separate. Plus they can be tightened with a small (included) alan key.
So far the unit has been sturdy and reliable.

I enjoy using this little thing when I need a low level shot and use my shutter delay since I don't have a remote. Using it, I've obtained some awesome shots with it for only having a D-SLR for about 2 months. I use it with my Nikon D3200 with 18-55 lens to 55-200 lens.

Comments about Magnus MegaGrip Flexible Tripod:

This tripod has several advantages over other flexible grip tripods. First, it holds cameras heavier than simple point-and-shoots. Second, it includes allen wrenches that allow you tighten or even remove segments. It is, of course, short and thus no replacement for a full sized tripod, but works great when used in hard to get at places or when attached to fences, railings, or other similar objects. In addition, its affordable.

I needed a tripod for my numerous backpacking trips and this one proves to a be a valuable one.

It is light and compact with a good stability. Plus, you can attach it on trees, which is helpful when you do not find rocks tall enough to put your camera on.

I bought this to use with a DSLR and a point and shoot while living abroad in Europe. For the point and shoot, this thing works great. You can wrap it to anything and the legs are awesomely flexible. For the DSLR, the legs give out unless you position it just perfectly. My body and lens weigh just 3.2lbs, and this is supposedly rated for 3.3. I know I might be pushing it, but unless you want to fiddle endlessly with support for your camera before shooting, I'd look elsewhere if you're trying to buy one for a DSLR.

Good to use with your DSLR for video Shooting if you lack a good support.

I like this much better than the Gorillapod I tried. This one's better made and comes with hex wrenches if I want to shorten it or clean the joints. Holds my MFT gear and could easily take more weight.

This is a good product for the price; strong enough for a full size DSLR and wrap around smaller poles and rails fairly well
