Comments about Joby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom Flexible Mini-Tripod - Black/Red:
I bought this little tripod to take pictures while my partner and I are backpacking. This tripod weighs a lot less than a normal tripod, takes up less space, and can be put anywhere. The fact that it is so short is easily made up by the fact that it can be attached to trees and other objects that elevate. It is a little difficult to get a landscape picture when attached to a vertical object, but it is strong and I have no fear of the wind knocking it off. Definitely worth it!

A super portable tripod that will hold my SLR w/ zoom lens and cling on to any upright support for getting steady photos as well as self-timer photos.

The legs are strong on this tripod and as long as they're positioned correctly then you shouldn't have trouble with it holding your DSLR.

Comments about Joby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom Flexible Mini-Tripod - Black/Red:
The rubber feet aren't really going to save you from those legs flattening out half the time. Also you basically need to buy a mount for this otherwise you are looking at screwing your camera right in. The legs are very flexible and durable feeling. I haven't had a chance to go into the field with this as i'm waiting for a mount still but it should do the trick. I just wish it was a bit more grippy as a tabletop tripod. For the amount of weight it is rated to hold you'd think it more sturdy under duress.

Comments about Joby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom Flexible Mini-Tripod - Black/Red:
The GorillaPod is awesome for setting up my DLSR for quick shots. What is great is that I can set it on the table for some photos that need the camera to be steady, but easily snatch it up and take some quick photos if I need to move.

Comments about Joby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom Flexible Mini-Tripod - Black/Red:
This model is stronger than the previous one I had. It's awesome. I use it to hold cams, mics, field recorders , flashes, and pretty much anything else with a mount.
Each leg is very strong and doesn't bend over for the average item.
