Comments about Sirui P-326 6-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I used this monopod for the first time last weekend on a Triathlon event and worked great. Very light and solid! It is compact enough to carry it easily with my Canon 5D Mark III kit, Canon 70-200 f4 L lens, Canon Rebel XTi with Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM lens and Speedlite 600EX-RT in my Canon backpack.
Lock and release of the sections worked like a charm with no flex carring my 5D Mark III with the 70-200 F4 L lens. Very secure locks and the release is pretty quick for sports events.

Comments about Sirui P-326 6-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I typically have Manfrotto tripods and heads so the was my first thought when getting a monopod. Was concerned about Manfrotto's latch system, while fine on a tripod was fearful of snagging with the mobility a monopod provides. Absolutely wanted carbon fiber, not because of the weight savings which is negligible on a monopod, but hot/cold transfer issues I had noted on my aluminum 055PROB and carbon fiber 190CX.
Biggest concern I had when ordering was the smoothness of the latch system as I looked locally at some cheap models and was not impressed. This is very smooth, particularly at this pricepoint, and one of the smallest for travel. Definitely supports my D7000 with the 70-300 lens. Mates well with the Manfrotto 234RC head, allowing me to keep the PL2 baseplate attached for quick change between support gear.
The only problem...my wife likes it. I may have to order another one.

Where a tripod is not an option such as in small boats, etc.
The size, weight, resistance to flexing even when loaded with 16 pounds of camera gear and ease of use. The locks are functional and all can be grabbed with one to extend the monopod. When the locks are released, all the sections slide open when in the vertical position without a need of having to extend them by hand.
The spike at the foot is retractable by twisting and covered by a rubber foot. But the rubber foot does not extend enough and when used in a marble floor, the spike may slip.

Very nice monopod for the money. Very light and sturdy. I use it with a Manfrotto 234RC tilt head. Collapses into a very small package and can give you the edge when inside (such as a concert hall) where tripods are prohibited.

I was going to get the top Feisol monopod before I saw this one. The Feisol would be stiffer, as it has less sections, but then it's a monopd, so ultimate stiffness isn't all that important. This one seems just fine for my 5D, battery pack, and 400/3.5 lens, even when on a hard angle.
I just LOVE how compact it is. You use a monopod so as to be less visually intrusive, so it makes sense to carry something really small.
The twist-locks work perfectly and require very little effort.
Some have reported that the stitching in the strap comes undone, so I simply coated them with silicon glue.
This monopod has no faults. I only wish they made one that is 1 size thicker, just because....

Comments about Sirui P-326 6-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I got this because it is so small and the reviews were so good. I used with a 300 2.8 with 2x extender and it was very sturdy. Great size to pack too. Just keep in mind the overall height. I am about 5'11" and it is just about the right height for me. If you are much taller you will have to use a head to raise the camera up to eye level. It does have 5 sections so it takes a little more to get all the sections extended but well worth it for the compactness that comes along with it.

The only thing I didn't like was the relatively large (60mm diameter) head plate. I was able to replace this with one that is about 45mm I happened to have lying around. In other every respect, works well for me.

I'm using this to take pictures in the mountains of snowmobiles. It folds up nice and straps to my backpack perfectly. I would prefer flip locks but the twist locks on it are pretty good.
It's sturdy and nice to use in cold weather. I am using a Sirui K-10X ball and a D800.

Comments about Sirui P-326 6-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I bought this monopod so that I can put it in my luggage when heading to a destination, while still having a solid base to work from when I get there.
When I first picked up the BH box from the warehouse, I thought it was empty. This monopod is very light, but also very solid when extended. There is NO play in the first four extensions, and you have to push to get the 5th extension to flex. The twist mechanisms are very quick to open/close, as is the camera base. The screw fits perfectly into my Pentax K10, and it has lots of "travel", i.e. the screw has enough length to fit solidly within the camera body, and once attached, it is very secure. Fully retracted, it is actually a little shorter than I thought, and if I move some gear around, it will fit INSIDE my Flipside 300. The kit includes both a regular wrist strap, a "climbers" hook for hooking outside a camera pack, and a compass. Not sure why the compass is there, but given that the overall design is well executed, I am sure I will find myself somewhere thinking "oh, that's why they included it".
I bought (and returned) other monopods as they were too large, or heavy. I won't be returning this one.

I was told it was only for small lenses, but in my hands felt so robust that I decided to try anyway. I'm using it with a Nikon D800 with battery grip and a 500mm AF-S, and works excellent!!! Maybe it will not last forever, but with the right care it will be a good trip buddy.

Comments about Sirui P-326 6-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I have never owned a monopod before but I splurged and bought this super light carbon fiber monopod. Very light, strong, and tall enough for me. I'm just over 5'8" and fully extended the viewfinder is at about eye level for me. I frequently have to shorten the monopod. However, it is no substitute for a tripod. It improves stability at slower shutter speeds but it gives me at most a stop. Perhaps I haven't had enough practice. Better than handholding in low light situations where you can't use a tripod, but not as much better as I had hoped. Still, a very good product and really easy to travel with.

I was looking for a monopod that would collapse and fit inside my Tenba backpack. I travel overseas and know that I will not use the monopod a lot, but I want it for the times when I do need it. It fits perfectly. It is in 6 sections, but is still strong enough for my Oben swivel head and Canon EOS Rebel. I first bought a Manfrotto monopod from B&H. It was nice, but I returned it because it simply was too long when compacted for my needs.

Ideal for travel where a tripod would often not be acceptable (eg, museums, musical performance); also very helpful in low-light and short (eg, 5 or fewer exposure) HDR sequences.
