The MultiMix 6 Cue Rackmount 6-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier/Mixer from Alesis provides professional-quality audio monitoring in a slim 1RU rackmount design, ideal for studio and stage applications. The unit has 6 independent high-power amplifiers, each with its out input/mix section, allowing users to create the mix that's best for them. Each channel has a mono/stereo switch and 3 separate 1/4" headphone jacks for excellent connectivity. The rear panel also offers XLR and 1/4" stereo main inputs and outputs for wide compatibility with a variety of sound systems and devices.
The front panel has 4-segment LED meters on each channel so you can keep visual tabs on audio levels. There is also an 8-segment input meter with a gain control. Each channel has its own 1/4" aux input, and there is a 1/4" direct input for the entire system as well. Left and right mute switches are provided on each channel, allowing you to create 2 mono mixes per channel. If additional channels are needed, multiple units can be daisy-chained together for convenient expansion. The internal switching power supply allows worldwide operation.

We use this as distribution for wired in ear monitoring. Sounds clean and loud enough. We've only used it 4 times so hopefully it will continue to be reliable.

Comments about Alesis MultiMix 6 Cue Rackmount 6-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier/Mixer:
I have a podcasting studio with a 4 mic set up and I needed to allow each user to control the volume of their headset. The design is very intuitive which makes installation a snap. The audio quality is very clear but the amplification isn't quite high enough for some users preference.

Comments about Alesis MultiMix 6 Cue Rackmount 6-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier/Mixer:
Bought this unit to power our wired Shure E5 in-ears off an Allen & Heath iLive console, and have been totally happy with the results. The Behringer unit it replaced was haunted by a buzzing that was inaudible with normal headphones but quite prominent in our in-ears. The MultiMix 6 Cue is crystal clear by comparison (cleaner than our Sennheiser iem 300 G2 wireless systems as well) and offers two addition channels for the same price.
