Questions? Ask our experts:

The BARSKA Deluxe Tripod is a lightweight aluminum tripod with a fluid head and features that you would expect to find on tripods 3 or 4 times its price

The fluid head features a bubble level, large knurled panning handle and large tilt handle to make precise adjustments. Whether your interest is sports, bird watching or stargazing, you'll appreciate the built-in quick release that helps you set up or pack up in seconds.

The 3 section tripod legs employ braces for extra sturdiness and flip-locks to help you extend the tripod to its maximum height of 63.4" or anywhere in between. The center column has a hand crank for height adjustments and an accessory hook at the bottom to hang weighty objects for greater stability.

One of, inot THE, worst tripods...

    Comments about Barska Deluxe Tripod:

    This tripod is absolute junk.

Within a couple hours of use, the quick release mount was breaking. The head would not stop drifting down, and the slightest breeze nearly caused the whole thing to topple, on steady flat ground.

Be warned, this thing is junk!

    Comments about Barska Deluxe Tripod:

Very poor construction... The head was so bad I was afraid that I would break it. Save your money and buy a decent set of legs and a seperate head. I ended up getting a nice Monfrotto and abh-340l Vanguard head that will last me for many years!

Not what I expected of a video tripod

    By Lio the video man

    About Me Semi-pro Photographer

    Pros

    • Good Price
    • Good Stability

    Cons

    • Not at all a fluid head

    Best Uses

    • For still photography
    • Landscape/Scenery
    • Portraits

    Comments about Barska Deluxe Tripod:

Surprised it was rated 5 stars. Maybe great for still photography but not for video, which is what I want to use it - disappointed at what was qualified as a good fluid-head - adjustment to have it fluid is very difficult to achieve.
Also it does not fold down sufficiently to enter the suitcase I usually use to travel. I found the price "Too good to be true" - and that is what I now think of the resume promoting it.
I would recommend it for still photography but not for video.
