Comments about Barska 25-125x88 WP Benchmark Spotting Scope:
I might have just as well burned the money I spent on this scope. It is impossible to focus as the tripod mount is so far to the rear making it extremely nose heavy and the focus ring is located on the front lens. Touch it and what you are trying to focus on is gone. Very foggy at 200 yrds. and impossibly foggy at 300 yrds. Practically useless over 50x.

I love this spotting scope. very clear viewing.
I use this scope to look at wildlife. the only down fall is the focusing is in a weird spot on the front of the scope. would recommend this product to anyone.

Comments about Barska 25-125x88 WP Benchmark Spotting Scope:
This is the second spotting scope I've bought recently. I've used both to look at a variety of things to see if I made the right purchase.
The bad news is this scope is not razor sharp at 125x or even 75x and it is difficult to focus. The focussinb ring is difficult to turn making it impossible to hold the image steady while focussing.
The good new is that for a modest price you get a large objective lens, respectable sharpness through the 25x-60x range that is typical for scopes of this size but this scopes power continues on to 125x where it is still acceptably sharp, plus it is waterproof and comes with a hard case and small tripod. I was looking at Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park from Lafayette, Colorado and I think I could have seen people on the summit, if there'd been any.
Don't buy it if you want to look at the rings of Saturn. Do buy it if you want to take a closer look at ships on the horizon.
