In fairness to the product, it made the camera (Nikon 1 V1)easier to be handled properly but really this could've been included by default! I didn't like the idea of the grip totally covering the battery and SD Card Compartment. Everytime you wanted to change batteries or take images from the SD Card, you really have to detach the Grip so you could access the said comparment. I had no choice but to buy it though as its more important to keep the whole camera safe from dropping it.

This product enhances the usability of the Nikon 1 v1 by providing a better grip on the camera body. I am suspect, however, that this accessory was either an afterthought, or perhaps a means for Nikon to sell its users something that should have been on the camera body all along. It does seem a bit expensive for a piece of molded plastic with a screw. Also, you'll have to disassemble it to reach the battery and SD card compartment.

found the grip to be just what I needed for my Nikon V1. The grip is perfect for when I need to grab the camera quick from my backpack giving me something substantial to grab and hold. It also works very well when shooting giving me a more confident grip on the camera. Only wish that the grip was a little bigger to accomodate a battery, that way instead of having to unscrew the grip to change batteries the power would be doubled.
All in all I think it is defintely worth the money.
