Comments about Atlas Sound DMS7E 8-13" Drum Miking Stand (Ebony):

I trust B&H, I have always found them to be fast, fair and honest in all my transactions with their staff. Very satisfied overall with the product. The stand was exactly as described and I like the quality of the Atlas line. Currently it is being used as a kick-mic stand. The base is wide and heavy enough to support most mics even without a counter-weight (such as a boom).I am using it with an On-Stage Telescoping Mini-Boom (also purchased at B&H) and it works great! Another cool thing about this Atlas stand is that the base is threaded for full-size stand tubing making possible additional applications. I'm afraid that I will want to use this in too many places at once! I guess I better get a couple more...

Comments about Atlas Sound DMS7E 8-13" Drum Miking Stand (Ebony):

I needed a heavy duty stand for what appears to be heavier and heavier microphones (Rode NT1A with its shock mount and pop filter, and the Equitek100S which is a very solidly built microphone) that we use for radio and podcast interviews. This does the trick, and the release clutch on the post works well. The wide base takes up a little more room than normal mic stands but the added stability is worth it.

Comments about Atlas Sound DMS7E 8-13" Drum Miking Stand (Ebony):

Heavy but compact base with telescoping pole, which makes it very stable. The pole screws off the base which would make for convient storage if necessary, or to attach a longer pole for some other use. I use it with my large diaphragm mic for tabletop voiceover work at my computer, but it would also be well-suited as an instrument or drum mic stand.

This is a great stand and not expensive. It is sturdy and does not get in the way of movement on the stage. I use it to mic my guitar amp. Great stand, reasonable price.
