Prchased an extra battery for my now Powershot SX40HS. As long as you remember to charge them before you head to the wildlife refuge (I forgot and was stranded with 2 dead batteries! :( ) they seem to do a great job so far!

This is the OEM battery. It works as advertised.I don't have to worry about my camera bursting into flames.It is cheap (even with shipping).I know there are cheaper non-genuine batteries, but I like using the genuine article if I can. These are 3 times this price in Australia. US purchasers should just spend the money and get the right battery at this price... I just bought a $500 camera and I want to save money on possibly dodgy batteries??? No. Not a chance. For peace of mind I will spend a little extra.

batteries i brought previously from 3rd party resellers die out after 1-2 charge cycles...
really glad i brought from bhphoto, as the product is a genuine canon product, and works as expected! can go through about 600+ photos before needing a charge..
