Comments about Atlas Sound DS-7E - Desk Stand:

I purchased two of these stands and two screw-on Atlas flange adapters in order to attach 6"x6" 5/8" walnut platforms. Presto! (amost) instant adjustable stands for my JBL Control One Plus nearfields. Added sobothane isolation feet to the speakers, and they transfer minimal vibration to my desk top. The stands are very well built, the bases are heavy, their footprint is small. This is my first B&H purchase, won't be the last.

        Shalom!

Comments about Atlas Sound DS-7E - Desk Stand:

I'm using this with a Pearstone DUSM-1 shock mount and Sennheiser MKE 600 shotgun mic to do narration for video and audio projects.

What I wanted was a very heavy, but compact stand with about a foot of reach. And that's what I got. The stand stays put and doesn't pick up vibrations.

To be able to handle all my attachments, I had to add a 5/8 to 3/8 thread adapter.

Comments about Atlas Sound DS-7E - Desk Stand:

Bought this along with a Blue Yeti Pro, a pop filter and the Ringer Shock Mount designed for the Yeti/Yeti pro. Without using the shock mount, it's a great little stand. However, the base isn't heavy enough to keep the shock mount and microphone level and the three very small rubber nibs on which it rests are not providing enough stability. I could see myself using this for the pop filter if I can't put it on another stand or for a seconday microphone, but not for the whole assembly. I'd only really recommend this product if you don't plan on having any weight anywhere else but sitting directly on top of it.

Stand is well built and looks good! Sadly, it is made in China. My old Atlas stands were USA-made, so I was hoping these were as well.

Comments about Atlas Sound DS-7E - Desk Stand:

I'm using this with a Rode Procaster and the cast iron stand offers this heavy mic a solid base to work from. I haven't owned this long and have not carried it from gig to gig yet, so I cannot speak to the durability. The stand definitely seems solid enough but will try and update this review in a couple of months.

Great product and a good price. But what can you really say about mic stands? They are solid and do what we need them to do.
