The Rotolight 10" Articulated Magic Arm enables versatile mounting of just about any camera accessory you can imagine – wireless audio receivers, monitors, or (of course) lights from Rotolight or other manufacturers. As long as it weighs 8.8 lb or less and has either a shoe mount or a male or female 1/4"-20 mount, you can attach it to the Magic Arm.
The arm is an "Israeli style" articulating arm, meaning that there's a central knobby thumbscrew that, when you tighten or loosen it, secures or frees all movement of the arm. That includes the central joint and the swivel ball heads at either end.

Use this in variety of ways, mostly to hold my speedlight at a suitable position above my 500mm camera lens to photograph wildlife etc. Fixes to my fluid video head or to my Kirk L camera bracket.

Comments about Rotolight 10" Articulated Magic Arm:
I used this Rotolight with a tripod clamp to hold up a Zoom H4n. Nothing else.
Part of the ball socket came outside the ball socket and effectively broke the device, or at least reduced functionality significantly.
For something that costs over 100$ after taxes, and has many cheaper counterparts—I expected enhanced durability at the least.
Very disappointed with the quality.

I bought this arm to off-set my light with ease for more space on my DSLR set up.. Similar to the Manfrotto magic arm but a much better price!!
