The iPod touch offers the same powerful A4 processor as the iPhone 4, as well as the stunning Retina Display with a Multi-Touch interface, which allows you to use your fingers to control all aspects of the iPod.

The touch has front and rear cameras for taking photos and videos, as well as having live video chats over WiFi with FaceTime. The internal accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope provide more motion gestures and terrific precision for an amazing gaming experience, which can be combined with the Game Center feature of iOS 5 to play against your friends. The touch also connects to the App Store and iTunes, offers multitasking, allows you to connect to the Internet, check email, and much more.

Sleek Design
At only 7.2mm thin, this is the thinnest iPod touch yet. The glass face and stainless steel back provide a clean look and excellent durability for a device that's equally at home in your hand or in your pocket
Retina Display
The iPod touch features the same stunning 3.5" Retina Display as the iPhone 4. It has 4 times the pixel count of the previous iPod touch - so many that the human eye can't distinguish individual pixels. This makes for ultra-sharp graphics, images, and text; perfect for games, photos, videos, and iBooks
Multi-Touch Control
The Multi-Touch display lets you easily access your content, change the aspect ratio, or control media playback with the touch of a finger. Scroll through screens slowly by dragging your finger or flick it across the screen to cover more ground. The touch makes it simple and easy to control your media. The touch features a pop-up QWERTY keyboard that lets you type emails or search for music and videos in the iTunes Store
A4 Processor
The iPod touch uses the same A4 processor that's found in the iPhone 4 and iPad. This chip is remarkably powerful yet power-efficient so it can perform complex functions like multitasking and video editing, while simultaneously maximizing battery life
Capacity
The 64GB of solid-state flash memory serves as a reliable home for your music, videos, photos, and apps
Front and Rear Cameras
Cameras are found on both the face and the rear of the iPod touch. The front camera records 640 x 480 VGA-quality photos and video at 30fps, while the rear camera records HD 720p video at 30fps, and captures still photos at 960 x 720 (0.7 megapixels). Both cameras can be used during FaceTime calls
FaceTime
Apple's FaceTime technology lets you video chat with your friends and loved ones in real-time over WiFi thanks to the integrated cameras. You can even switch back and forth between the 2 cameras during a chat so your chat partner can see you or what you're looking at 1
Video Editing
Basic video trimming can be performed on the iPod touch, while more complex movie editing can be performed using Apple's iMove app, available separately in the App store
Game Center
Apple's Game Center, part of iOS 5, allows you to rank your game scores and compare achievements against your friends. You can also challenge your friends (or automatically chosen strangers) in multiplayer games
iOS 5
The iOS 5 software provides a wealth of advanced features, including multitasking, app folders, FaceTime, Game Center, Security, and Accessibility functions for those with disabilities

Long-Lasting Battery with Fast Charge Time
The touch will provide autonomy for up to 40 hours of music or 7 hours of video playback. You can charge your iPod touch to 80% capacity in about 2 hours and to full capacity in only 4 hours
iTunes Store
The iTunes Store can be accessed via WiFi, allowing you to preview and download all of your favorite songs and videos. You can even buy or rent television shows and movies

Comments about Apple 64GB iPod touch (White) (4th Generation):

This is my third iPod, second iPod touch. I have had pretty good experience with the past 2, only having the headphone jack break. As a whole, this product is quite good, however, I did have to restore it once in the first week and the camera is not very good. The resolution and screen are brilliant and easy to use. I would consider buying another one in the future.

Comments about Apple 64GB iPod touch (White) (4th Generation):

For those in need of an inexpensive iOS device, the fourth generation iPod Touch is an excellent choice. Despite being a generation behind the current iPod, it's still capable of running many Apps from the App store and browsing the web without any issues. It's worth noting however, that iOS 7 will not be supported on this particular iPod, so consumers who consider the upgrade imperitive may wish to look into another iOS device.

Overall, I'm mostly satisfied with the iPod Touch as a handheld gaming device, glorified PDA, and portable web browser. Every game I've played on this particular iPod has run smoothly with the exception of one, and the issues are really problems with the game rather than the iPod Touch. Likewise, PDA tasks are performed flawlessly, whether it's taking notes, checking the weather, or using the iPod as a glorified calculator. Internet access is also superb for a portable device; web pages load quickly, e–mail is easy to work with, and streaming videos usually play as well as can be expected for anything streaming. Simply put, the fourth generation iPod Touch excels at the aforementioned tasks.

Unfortunately, the fourth generation iPod Touch also has a handful of drawbacks that I find to be incredibly irritating, although others will likely feel differently. For starters, it's way to thin; I actually have to keep a military–grade case around it at all times just to use it comfortably. More importantly though, Apple has sacrificed battery life in favor of shaving a few millimeters off of an already razor–thin device. The end result is that I'm constantly needing to recharge my battery every few hours, and I find this irritating when the problem could be remedied by making the device a few millimeters thicker.

My second complaint is that the "music" portion of the iPod Touch, arguably the part most associated with an iPod, is absolutely terrible. The interface feels clunky and difficult to navigate. More importantly, because the iPod Touch lacks physical buttons, it's simply impossible to navigate the music portion of the iPod Touch without stopping to look at it. When it comes to playing music, I strongly prefer to use the iPod Classic instead of the iPod Touch for the reasons mentioned above.

Additionally, it's worth noting that this is not my first fourth generation iPod Touch. I bought this particular iPod Touch because I ran out of space on my other 64GB fourth generation iPod Touch less than a month after I purchased it. This is yet another reason why I prefer my higher capacity iPod(s) Classic for music. As far as I'm concerned, Apple needs to significantly increase the capacity of the iPod Touch; I frequently use my iPods with high quality speakers/stereo systems, and I don't like to compress my music unnecessarily.

The last drawback that really irks me is that Apple seems to intentionally handicap the iPod Touch to make it undesirable to people who want an "iPhone without a phone." I personally have no need or desire for any form of cell–phone, much less a cell–phone with a data plan that costs hundreds of dollars a year. I'm also not a fan of cell–phone cameras in general, but the iPod Touch's camera is particularly bad, especially compared to the camera of the iPhone 4 that was released around the same time as the fourth generation iPod Touch.

Aside from the flaws mentioned above though, the fourth generation iPod Touch is an excellent device. While I don't like to use it for music, I do find it to be excellent for handheld gaming, web browsing, and PDA–like tasks. Overall, I would recommend the fourth generation iPod Touch to anyone who wants access to iOS, but doesn't need to have the latest and greatest gadget capable of running iOS 7 this fall.

Comments about Apple 64GB iPod touch (White) (4th Generation):

The product is exactly as expected. The only thing that does not grant a 5 star is the quality of the camera. The photos outdoors have a lot of noise. Indoor photos look better.
If you want it to have an extra-camera all time, this is not for you. For the rest, is fantastic.
