Takes time to program the macros, but once it's set works like charm.

Comments about Griffin Technology Beacon Universal Remote Control for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch:
This product only works for very simple systems. A TV and a cable/sat box. Very limited for receivers. Plus it really doesn't learn commands, although Griffin claims that it does. I have spent hours trying to learn a single Sony command. Nothing. It always appears to work, but then it will not. Absolutely no support from either company involved. The Harmony remotes work much better, plus they actually will learn commands. Avoid this product.
Comments about Griffin Technology Beacon Universal Remote Control for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch:
Works perfectly, as advertised. The App is VERY customizable and the built-in guide is very useful. With the salvo's I programmed, my family just has to click "Watch Movie", "Watch TV", or "Listen to Music" and each component turns itself on and changes to the correct settings. I control everything from my iPad now.
My only negative is that the base unit eats batteries. I wish they offered a power brick as an option. Gonna try to rig something up.
The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is the power issue noted above. Other than that, it is a 5!

Comments about Griffin Technology Beacon Universal Remote Control for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch:
Does what is says. However it will be much better once the IPAD specific app is released.
Make sure you update the firmware before starting installation.
