Designed to handle your DSLR and three lenses, it will also hold your 15" (38.1 cm) laptop in its own separate, removable compartment. The compartment contains a strap to hold the computer in its place.

The Union Street is made from a durable cotton canvas that has been treated with a special wax that will stand up to the demands of the photographer who spends much time outdoors. ONA has even added leather detail to the base for added durability to the bag. All of this is accented with antique brass hardware to give the bag an even classier, old-world feeling.

Inside, you have five adjustable dividers with which to customize the contents. The soft interior lining will not damage your gear. Store your DSLR with lens attached, up to three extra lenses, flash and accessories. The front zippered pocket is perfect for holding your wallet or other small accessories such as keys, pens, cell phone, cables, batteries, memory cards, loose change or business cards.

Carry the Union Street by its adjustable shoulder strap with its wide pad or top grab handle. Close it up with the dual front buckles that are reminiscent of shoulder bags from decades ago. Comments about ONA Union Street Messenger Bag (Black):

This is the best camera bag I have ever owned. My only complaint is that the side compartments are very tight so it is hard to get hand into it when carrying camera equipment.

Comments about ONA Union Street Messenger Bag (Black):

I really appreciate the fact that I can actually fit my laptop and camera in this bag (after owning a Zkin bag, that was my first priority). It can easily hold two bodies along with a few lenses, a laptop, and a bunch of accessories. On top of that, it does not look like a camera bag whatsoever. I have gotten several compliments from people who thought it was simply a school messenger bag, albeit an expensive one. That said, this bag faded within a few days of being out in the sun.

Comments about ONA Union Street Messenger Bag (Black):

Great bag if you are looking to carry your camera, a lens or two and a small amount of gear - possibly a small laptop. If you need to carry a lot of stuff - this is not the bag for you.

It is kinda bulky for what it carries, but that is due to the protection for your gear.

I don't carry too much, so this bag works great for me. I love the quality of construction and styling too.

Comments about ONA Union Street Messenger Bag (Black):

Summary: This bag is beautiful, versatile, well-made, carries quite a lot of stuff for the size and feels very comfortable on your shoulder. The only negative is access to the contents of the front pocket. If you need to carry a 14" or smaller laptop along with a fair bit of gear, you'll be hard-pressed to do it with this much style and usability anywhere else. Just wish the front pocket was more accessible.

                Full Review:

                Overall thoughts:
I was able to put my D90, 80-200 f/2.8, 28-75 f/2.8 (mounted), 18-200, 35 f/1.8, a blower, a couple batteries and other cables, etc. as well as my 14" ThinkPad, iPhone, a USB hard drive and ThinkPad tablet (10"). That is a lot of gear to fit in something so small-looking. Quality seems excellent throughout, though time will always tell. All the leather, the fabric and the stitching seemed very solid and well done.

The bag deals with bulk reasonably well. The buckles are high-quality. I was kind of hoping that you'd be able to press on the outside of the buckle to release/open, but it doesn't appear to work like that. Slightly fiddly. Others have told me the buckles can be used like that, but it didn't seem to work like that for me.

The handle looks like it would be unbalanced, especially when loaded. It isn't, at least for light movement and picking it up/putting it down.

It carries very well - I'm amazed how light it feels vs. the same gear in my Lowepro AW200 on my back.

The gear carries well overall. The 80-200 has plenty of depth, though the pockets are shallow enough that the foot worried me. I pulled the shallow divider out from the "body pocket" and made a full-height space for the lens. No worries. The foot does provide some dimension to think about - I kept it turned toward the compartment with the shorter lens vs. the body compartment.

With all the stuff inside, I did need to extend the buckles to allow closure.

                The bad/gripes:
There should be a "pull-strap" on the buckle to help pull the buckle.
The front pocket is very, very tight. Even when it isn't loaded, access to the front pocket is unnecessarily tight. A simple, minimal flap or gusset to allow a broadening of the opening would have been all that was necessary. There are spaces for a cell phone, memory cards and other stuff (I threw in a USB hard drive, a couple extra batteries, some cleaning supplies, etc. Net: My issues isn't so much with the space, but the access to it.

Ultimately, I decided to return it as I think for the money this thing costs the access should be easy, but I'm probably more picky about that than most people. It is a gorgeous and capable bag.
