The Varavon Loupe EX-Supporter for Panasonic GH1/GH2 is a low-angle external viewfinder for use with the Panasonic GH1 and GH2 digital cameras. Featuring a completely optical viewfinder, no extra power sources are required for use.
The Loupe EX-Supporter is designed with a sunlight cover for clear monitoring in bright, outdoor conditions. The loupe is connected to the viewfinder by a hinge with magnets, allowing you to quickly switch between detailed viewing and waist-level viewing. The loupe provides 3x magnification and includes a diopter to further fine-tune the detailed display.
The device features a durable aluminum dial to provide easy installation and removal from the camera body's tripod mount. There is also an integrated 0.25" / 6.35mm threaded socket on the base of the device, allowing use of a tripod while the viewfinder is attached.

Had it over one weekend and the cushion that abuts the lcd became unglued. This loupe is much too expensvie to fall apart after only a weekend's use. Returned this time to BH, and they handled the returned beautifully.

Great Product, work well and everything looks sharp through this viewvinder. My only little complent is you can't use your hdmi conection on the camera when using this loupe.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this item - and I was fully prepared to return it if it ended up being a cheap plastic toy. But I was very happy to see that the unit is well built and thought out. At first I thought I just needed a hood to keep the sun off the LCD. But the magnifying loupe is actually really helpful to check focus. Also, keeping your eye pressed up against the unit allows for more stable handheld footage. The metal bracket that the unit mounts with also provides a rigid grip point for the camera.
