The Vanguard PH-10 Tilting Head is a simple, convenient mount for a camera when you're using a device such as a monopod. The head tilts from +90° to -90°, which is a much better alternative to tilting the monopod itself and therefore upsetting the weight balance of your camera support. Tilt the PH-10 instead, and your monopod retains its vertical integrity.
The PH-10 weighs less than 8 oz and supports up to 10.8 lb, so you can attach many camcorders and most DSLR camera/lens combinations, as well as any point & shoot models. The head features a standard 1/4"-20 screw.

Very impressed with the Vanguard line-up. Recently purchase a tripod and a monopod from them. Construction is excellent, very stable, clamps are strong, very good start-up company.

Comments about Vanguard PH-10 Tilting Head:
I use the PH-10 to top off my monopod. Its added 3 inch height allows me to get my DSLR to a comfortable eye level, with a little room to make adjustments. The tilt allows the monopod shaft to remain vertical while pointing the camera upward or downward, making the monopod much more versatile.

Comments about Vanguard PH-10 Tilting Head:
I use this product on my monopod and it works like a charm. I mounted a Pentax K5 with a DA* 50-135mm f/2.8 lens and it stays put at any angle up to 90 degrees. My buddy has the Manfrotto 234, and we both agree that the Vanguard's build quality is more solid than the Manfrotto. The clamp is strong and locks tightly with no movement. It's perfect for a monopod.

Comments about Vanguard PH-10 Tilting Head:
I use it on a monopod with a 400mm 5.6 telephoto lens. The verticle movement is all I need but it tends to move a little even after it is tightened as hard as I do it.
