I got this label maker in an attempt to realize my endless goal of "getting organized". As a mother of three young children, this is a pretty ambitious goal. We started homeschooling this year, so now there are even more things to organize. I like that I can choose different fonts and sizes for my labels. I've been busily labeling all our school supplies, and now my first-grader knows where to find things, eliminating the previous, "Mommy, where is....?" I've also used the basic cartridge to label sippy cups, and am happy to report that the label made it through the dishwasher without coming off. I am looking forward to purchasing the fabric transfer label cartridge so I can keep track of our coats, boots, etc. My boys always beg to push the 'print' and 'cut' buttons, so I would say the product is user friendly and easy to figure out. I haven't had a chance to play with a lot of the special features, yet, but so far am impressed. It does take 6 batteries, which is a lot. This is a great label maker at a great price!

Made many labels at one time to save tape and I love it. Plan on labeling all the shelves in the charity food pantry I volunteer at. Cost of tapes is high but once the labels are done they should last for a long time.

I shopped for quite awhile and read a lot of reviews before settling on this label printer. I can not say enough good things about it. It is simply amazing that it can do so many different things and that there are so many different types of labels you can use with it. It would probably be nice to have an AC adapter included to save on batteries, but other than that I can not think of any negatives. I highly recommend.

Comments about Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Label Printer:

I have printed a dozen or so labels, mostly with two or three lines for labeling switches around the house and on electronic equipment. All have excellent print quality, although three lines on the provided sample tape is hard to read without glasses for me. Setting up the text on the screen is easy. The backing on the tape is split lengthwise for easy peel off. It is far neater than leaving Post-It notes with instructions. It is just what I needed.

This label maker is extremely easy to use and creates fantastic labels. The instruction sheet is easy to read and explains everything you need to know about the label maker in just a few minutes. I have used my label maker to label my files, spice jars, shelves, binders, craft boxes and much more. B and H offers a very reasonable price for the label maker. I also suggest buying the clear tape with black writing. It creates a much cleaner neater look.

Used to label my photographic works e.g.. my framed articles are titled on the front but on the rear, I need to let my clients know, in a very professional way, the exact product they are getting.
The Epson labeler allows me to do this.
It has many fonts and symbols.
I use it to print my company name on all my photo equipment.

Comments about Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Label Printer:

Comments about Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Label Printer:

I bought this to replace a Brother model I used for about 10 years. It served me well and I have nothing bad to say about it.

But I decided to try this Epson based on the feature to price ratio (it was on sale very cheap at the time). I`m glad I did - I really like this one. Maybe not so easy to operate as the featureless Brother, but it's not that hard to figure out, and does much more than I expected.

The printing looks great, but with a slight pixelation thats a non-issue for me personally. It's an ergonomic shape and size, and does more than I`ll ever think of actually using. One of the main features for me was the avaliable iron-on tape.
