I use these filter pouch's to store the len's cap and eye piece cap from my spotting scopes while in the field so that they don't get lost or mis-placed. (I hang one from each tripod's center column bottom hook.) These LensCoat pouch's say they will hold 77mm sized filter's. Ya, if you really stretch them out to fit! They are about 1/8" smaller in diameter then the one's made by OP-Tech USA. Which I think are in themself's 1/8" too small in diameter for a good, or easy fit for a 77mm filter or 77mm sized len's cap! Overall that makes the LensCoat one's 1/4" too small!! BOTH COMPANIES need to make these filter pouch's slightly larger in size (diameter)! Especially since more and more people are using them to store spotting scope lens cap's & eyepiece cap's in while in the field. Also; more & more companies are making 82mm, and 85mm, and larger objective len's spotting scopes every year now. (I can squeeze my 82mm len's cap into the OP-Tech USA model if I really-really stretch it out. But; it's really hard to get out then, and I'm sure it's going to rip the seam open sooner or later since it's streched to it's limit's!) I wouldn't even try it with the LensCoat model. It's just far too small. If both companies made a model to fit say an 85mm sized len's cap, it would easily work for any size up to that, and make it a lot easier to put a len's cap or filter into it and take it out again. I'm sure there would be a market for it! Bird watching is the 3rd. fastest growing hobby in America. Proably 55-65% of all serious Birder's have, or use a spotting scope afield when they think it's going to be needed. To say nothing of all the big game hunter's out west who use a spotting scope while afield. [Either companies present pouch's will fit cap's from a 62mm or 65mm spotting scope pretty good though.] But, I think the market call's for a larger diameter size to be made available.

Comments about FilterPouch 2 (77mm, Black):

I have been able to place 49mm filters in their boxes into the Filter Pouch sleeves. The sleeves are soft, but can handle much larger filters than I use. I would at least wrap the filters in tissue, although that may be overkill.

The pouch clip allows me to attach the pouch to my camera strap, or any other lanyard or loop.

        Excellent value for the money.

Comments about FilterPouch 2 (77mm, Black):

This is a really good way to carry your filters. Easy in and easy out and reasonably well protected. This beats fumbling with a hard plastic case. Good for travelers wishing to keep things light and compact.

I'd give it 5 stars if it incorporated a stiff liner between the two compartments.

I purchased this pouch to see if it was better than the other pouch I purchased. The two pouches look exactly the same in every detail except for the brand.
These are nice pouches except the don't hold two 77mm filters very well. They can only hold two 67mm filters comfortably. Since I use mainly 77mm filters, I don't know what to do with them.

So if you just want to carry the filter with out the original packaging or if you only have two filters, it ok, but it doesn't offer much protection for the filter itself. For me it was just ok. You get what you pay for.

I use this with two 72mm filters, a graduated ND and a circular polarizer. It fits both well but is a bit tight when accessing or storing the second filter. I do like the simple design and being able to have the filter easily accessible. Previously the filters were always in my camera bag but with the pouch they now can be clipped to my clothes or backpack.

I actually needed to carry a 77mm polarizer and a 72mm polarizar in either of two bags. With this combination, the 72mm may be tricky to get over the rim of the 77mm not a show stopper. I went to a local "name" professional photography retailer and was told "We don't have any filter cases. Nobody carries filters anyway these days because you can do so much in photoshop!" As far as I'm concerned duplicating a polarizer in PS is not one or if so, I'd certainly like to not waste that much time.

I use it clipped to my lowepro lens case. I store it inside the case with my lens when I'm on the move, and it keeps me from losing another circular polarizer lens.Would like to see a hard plastic insert to help prevent impact damage to my filters. If it had the insert I would rate it higher.

I was expecting a smaller size than this - it dwarfs my 46mm filter. It would be nice if smaller ones were available.

I bought this pouch to store the polarizer when I unscrew it from the lens. It is more convenient then putting back in the case. Also protect the lens until I put it back on the lens. But the price is kind of high for just a pouch
