The SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip MP3 Player (4GB) has some pretty good things going for it. For one thing, it's super-small and light. Secondly, as the name suggests, it clips onto your clothing or bag. Once you clip the Clip Zip on your person and turn it on you can forget it's even there, and just chill out to your tunes. The Clip Zip also happens to be light on your wallet.
In addition to playing your music, it also plays the FM radio and audiobooks, does voice and radio recordings, and acts as a stopwatch. The 4GB internal memory can be given a boost using optional microSDHC memory cards as well. And menu navigation and album art are displayed on the 1.1" color screen. The simple control buttons on the unit also make it easy to switch between songs and adjust volume, even when you're doing sports or other activities.

I use this when I exercise. I bought this one to replace my Sansa Clip. Why - small, clip-on, audiobook formats,price, storage capacity/ expandability & past experience with Sansa Clip. Being able to add memory cards was a great incentive. I don't listen to music on it so I have no review for that. I like that the screen is in color and I can see the book covers, but I don't like that the battery charge color is so light & tiny I can't tell if the battery is charged or needs charging. The old clip used to tell me what book part I was on out of the total number of parts in the book, but the clip zip gives me a time countdown of the current part but doesn't tell me which part of the book I'm on. Controls are easy to use without sight & I like the position of the on/off on top. Earbuds, ouch, just go ahead and get some that are comfortable. When clip zip is on & I pinch it to attach clip to clothes the sound blinks out. Clip zip manual at Sandisk doesn't exist yet, only goes as high as the Clip Plus. If I'd never had the Clip I would love the Clip Zip. Would I go back to the Clip? no, the Clip Zip has too many options I don't want to give up. A few software mods and the Zip would be near perfect.

Works with Windows Media Player perfectly. It's the perfect size and weight. Any smaller and you wouldn't have been able to press the buttons. The menus are very similar to old Creative players. They're quick to navigate and you don't need to look at the screen. I was very impressed with the sound quality on this little thing.

Use at Gym for audiobooks. Picks up where you left off perfectly over several days.
Like the size and the battery life the reported 15 hous is really about 12-13 hours and is still really good. Sound quality is very good with good quality earbuds.
The included earbuds are low quality but do work, thats all you can say about them. Not really a con but don't expect much.

Has everything I want and nothing I don't at a great price. Love the small size & clip. Very easy to load songs & navigate menus. I was always changing radio stations in my car, but with the playlists I quickly & easily created, I hardly ever touch my player while driving. Much safer! I love the FM radio feature too. I use the player with a portable speaker or headphones. I haven't found any cons so far.

We use ours on 6 kids with sensory issues for listening therapy, so it gets tons of use. I'm really impressed with how long the battery will last, and it's small enough to get strapped to the headphones so that there's no wires to get caught on. Super big plus!

We use ours on 6 kids with sensory issues for listening therapy, so it gets tons of use. I'm really impressed with how long the battery will last, and it's small enough to get strapped to the headphones so that there's no wires to get caught on. Super big plus!

I use this when I exercise. I bought this one to replace my Sansa Clip. Why - small, clip-on, audiobook formats,price, storage capacity/ expandability & past experience with Sansa Clip. Being able to add memory cards was a great incentive. I don't listen to music on it so I have no review for that. I like that the screen is in color and I can see the book covers, but I don't like that the battery charge color is so light & tiny I can't tell if the battery is charged or needs charging. The old clip used to tell me what book part I was on out of the total number of parts in the book, but the clip zip gives me a time countdown of the current part but doesn't tell me which part of the book I'm on. Controls are easy to use without sight & I like the position of the on/off on top. Earbuds, ouch, just go ahead and get some that are comfortable. When clip zip is on & I pinch it to attach clip to clothes the sound blinks out. Clip zip manual at Sandisk doesn't exist yet, only goes as high as the Clip Plus. If I'd never had the Clip I would love the Clip Zip. Would I go back to the Clip? no, the Clip Zip has too many options I don't want to give up. A few software mods and the Zip would be near perfect.
