The black KT DL-DF-410-V DF-410V DL; Digital Flap-Pouch from Kata is simple, effective way to carry around your point and shoot camera. The pouch is designed to be rugged and lightweight yet yields fast access to your camera when you need it. The pouch is rated to hold a Canon G11, G12, Nikon P7100 or similar-sized camera.
The pouch is made with Kata's TSB Rib (Thermo Shield Technology) that provides maximum shock protection to the areas where the pouch is most susceptible to incidental contact. The convenient rear belt lopp or shoulder strap makes toting it around much easier and can leave you hands-free for using your phone, holding your child's hand or even eating a hot dog while on the trail.
This pouch is designed with special clips that secure the camera to the pouch. In that way, there is little danger to dropping it and if you do, it will be attached to the case and not fall to the ground. The top opens horizontally giving you full access to the camera without having to reach down inside.

- This bag comes with it's own shoulder strap, designed specifically for it by Kata. You can upgrade the included strap to the optional GSS strap (KT VG-604-DH)

I use this case for my Canon G-12 Camera. The camera fits snuggly into the Kata case yet the camera is easy to access & remove from the case. I like the firm plastic protective bands under the case's Cordura©(?) nylon material and the easy of opening the case.
Yes the Velcro© is a bit noisy when new (put some lint on it & it will be less noisy).
I would like a case where the camera's strap could fit in or have a Velcro© strap holder on the interior or exterior of it, but this is a minor point as the Kata case allows me to use the Canon's neck strap and not attach the Kala strap. I would also like a small pocket for the battery.

Perfect fit for my G12 and it is exactly what I was looking for. I simply needed a protective case for travel and I didn't need a full-on case with space for extra batteries, memory cards, or other accessories.
What I like best is -- as another reviewer noted -- that I can use my camera's neck strap, rather than the case's detachable strap!

My Cannon G11 fits in the pouch perfectly with no wiggle room. The padding is dense enough to protect the camera but not so thick that it is hard to carry in a large pocketbook (better than a camera bag for small jobs; it seems to fool the thieves).
The Velcro closing makes a loud ripping sound when opened so when I need to be unobtrusive, I cover one side with tape.

Fits Nikon Coolpix P7100 very nicely but I do wish the pouch had a little more padding for protection. There are no additional pockets for a battery or memory card. My wife likes how it compresses so that she can easily put it into her purse when she's taking pictures. The pouch is well made and I like velcro closures instead of a zipper for a point & shoot. The option of using the shoulder strap or belt attachment is a nice feature.

It fits my Canon G12 beautifully, i can use the camera neck strap ith this cover.. Love the side clips, use them to secure my cover to the camera.

I bought this pouch for the Nikon P7100. I found it to be a bit too snug, in particular the interior width dimension (4.1") which I think is about a half inch too short for this camera. The pouch has to stretch to accommodate the camera and strap lugs and I found insertion and removal difficult. Some others might find it acceptable because it's probably the smallest pouch you'll find for the P7100. Velcro flap closures are loud. Material and construction are OK for the price and I think it would be fine for a camera slightly smaller. I'll find another use for it.

The Nikon P7100 fits in this case perfectly. This horizontal case adds minimal additional bulk to your belt while offering excellent protection to your camera. No extra space for batteries or memory cards.
