My company swapped from Macbooks to HP laptops. We didn't want the Apple Cinema screens to go to waste. This adapter allowed me to extend my Windows desktop but the resolution is not great at all.

I had to return the product because the specs did not say that it does not work with iMac 27" with Thunderbolt. Only after receiving the product, unpacking it and trying to set it up, did I notice that I couldn't see the screen but could hear the sound from my cable box (HDMI connected). I went online to see if other people had problems with setting this up and it turns out it does not work with Thunderbolt. This is information they should have included in the specs in LARGE font so people don't order it and find out it doesn't work. It wastes our time, our money and not to mention you have to call in to get a confirmation you are returning the product and have to pay for your own shipping.
Note: In order to submit this review, I had to provide a rating. Although I was unable to use this product due to restrictions, I don't feel it is fair for me to rate the actual product so in all fairness I am putting 2 stars but please don't use the rating as a judgement of quality on the actual product. Thanks.

I am using this item with a 27" iMac to display my XBOX 360. This doesn't work with the newer iMacs, so be careful.
** One HUGE thing to be aware of, especially if you don't have an Apple keyboard. To flip back and forth between your Apple OS and the XBOX, many people say hit Cmd + F2. This only works if you have an Apple keyboard. I have a Logitech keyboard, and this combo didn't work. The actual keystroke combo is Cmd + Brightness Up (which may not be F2 on your keyboard). Also keep in mind that on some keyboards, you must hit Fn to access the F2 functionality.
