The Cyclopital3D 86mm Filter/Close-Up Adapter for Sony 3D Camcorders allows you to use a multitude of lens accessories with your Sony 3D camcorder. Attaching to the tripod mount of your Sony HDR-TD10 or HXR-NX3D1U camera, this adapter provides an 86mm threaded ring on the front of your lenses, permitting the use of screw-in filters and close-up lenses. With the exception of close-up lenses, most filters function the same way in 3D as they do in 2D. Close-up lenses allow the camera to achieve convergence of the subject matter closer than without the magnification; they also increase the common image seen by both lenses, therefore reducing the amount of image loss commonly associated with 3D imaging.
- 86mm filter and lens accessory adapter; compatible with Sony HDR-TD10 and HXR-NX3D1U 3D camcorders.
- Attaches via tripod socket and provides the ability to use a variety of filters in front of the lenses.
- When used in combination with a close-up lens, image convergence is achieved closer to the lenses and more of a common image is seen by both lenses, providing a reduction in image loss.

The Cyclopital 3D adapter for Sony HDR-TD10 fits well on the camera, but when I screwed in the 86 to 77 mm step-down ring it caused vignetting at the edges at wide angle. Therefore, this adapter may not be usable for some purposes, or you will be limited in your wide angle zoom range. I wanted to put an inexpensive matte box on the camera using the step-down ring, but no matter what I do I can't make it work. They need to design a really large front element or make us a matte box that will work with this rig.
