Comments about Transcend 128 GB USB 3.0 1.8" (4.57 cm) Portable SSD:
This drive is small and should be durable (SSD). But It requires two USB ports to power and its a bit slow to copy files. The backup software that's included is not great - will overwrite files but not only copy updated files which makes backups even slower. Had to reformat the disc for some reason.

Comments about Transcend 128 GB USB 3.0 1.8" (4.57 cm) Portable SSD:
I used to have a western digital and a seagate external HD and both failed on me within months. 128GB is plenty of space to back up my photos and documents and even some movies. This SSD HD really does have fast transfer rates and i've been carring it around in my bookbag and doesn't fail. for SSD you get more bang for your buck with Transcend.

Comments about Transcend 128 GB USB 3.0 1.8" (4.57 cm) Portable SSD:
I've had Sonos in my home since 2005 and have wanted it in my vehicle. The problem has been the unavailability of a USB solid state drive with enough capacity to use instead of a conventional rotating disk drive - cold weather and potholes are not the best environment for those type of drives. The 128 GB capacity is sufficient to hold about 40,000 songs in 128k m4a format. I'm using this SSD with a "USB To NAS" adapter and a DC to 120 volt converter to power them in my vehicle. I've had this setup running for a couple weeks now and it works great. The only negative about the drive is that it requires TWO USB ports to provide it with sufficient power. The positives are its small size - smaller than a pack of cigarettes, and it's unaffected by cold temperatures and vibration. "Power up" time is less than 5 seconds.
