Comments about Swann Driveway Alert Alarm:

I am having a hard time finding a place to mount the sensor unit. It picks up every quail or dove that crosses the driveway, and also goes off every time the yard lights switch on or off. Sensitivity is more that excellent.

Very sensitive, so place it carefully to avoid false alarms. But works very well.

Comments about Swann Driveway Alert Alarm:

This product brings to mind the old saying that "you get what you pay for." It works but only if it is positioned correctly because the sensor effective field of vision is limited.

I'm using mine inside my garage to let me know if there is any movement. What I found it that placement and angle of the remote sensor is critical: the sensor sees out horizontally pretty well but it has a significant blind spot when "looking" down.

I first mounted the sensor seven feet up on a wall and I could walk around 20' away and it would trigger reliably. But if I walked back and forth while close to the sensor (six feet or less from the wall) it wouldn't "see" me. I finally lowered the sensor to about a four foot height so it looks across the garage more horizontally. If you want to mount it high, it needs to be angled down at the target area instead of looking out horizontally.

My sensor is mounted inside so moisture isn't an issue. However, I have read reviews elsewhere that indicate that the manufacturer's "water resistant" claim is questionable. Food for thought.
