This is exactly what I needed to turn my 2 monitor setup into a 3 monitor setup.
After having my third monitor, non-hdmi monitor, sitting in the closet for weeks after getting my new mac, I bought this cable and got everything set up.
Easy enough to do, and now my productivity is through the roof.

The set screws and casing seem to be made of a thin plastic and might easily break. Fortunately, once connected it works and hopefully won't need to be removed and reattached repeatedly.
Also, it was expensive and is now listed by B&H at a significantly lower price.
