The Letus35 Follow Focus is a versatile follow focus equipped with an efficient quick-release mount bracket and designed with highly-effective features.
The mount bracket snaps onto 15mm rods and screws tight underneath. No rig components need to first be removed. As long as the required spots are available on the rods, the mount bracket will find its way onto them. Linking the base and the gearbox is a height-adjustable articulating arm with an anti-slip rosette that securely locks into the base. The base itself is adjustable and slides to accommodate varying lens diameters.
The gear box is reversible to support different types of lenses, as some roll forward, and some, like Nikon lenses, rotate backwards. Upon changing direction, a "backlash" is commonly experienced in follow focuses, but with the Letus, backlash is less than 1mm because no looseness exists between the gears. The gear ratio is 1:2, offering easy focus pulls. The lens gear can be moved to either the front or rear of the gear box for easier positioning on lenses. And the entire setup can be mounted either on the left or right side of a lens, depending on preference.
The Letus follow focus is custom designed from scratch and built of anodized aluminum and stainless steel, with every component CNC-milled.
| Mount | Mounts 15mm rods with industry-standard 60mm spacing between the rods |

Comments about Letus35 Follow Focus:
Though it possesses great potential, the moment I mounted this ff I knew it was a return.
There are two main concerns:
1) The gear itself, which I understand might be a limited number of manufacturing defects, is not actually round. It's oval. This is a major failure for a company that says each one of these is "hand reviewed."
2) The major problem. The crank itself has about 1-2mm of play before engaging, which is simply not the case on any of my other ff units. This really isn't built to standards for anyone doing more than hobby work.
I had very high hopes for this unit, but was disappointed with the build quality and controls. I hope others have better experiences, but for me, I'm going to avoid Letus from here on in, as this unit shows a lack of quality I'm not impressed with.

Comments about Letus35 Follow Focus:
I shoot and edit commercials and short film projects. I use it on my Sony F3, it is compact and simple to mount and for the price it blows away the competition. Works better than the Redrock, and about as well as the Chroziel, or Arri FF's but costs less than all of them.
Cons, none really. It is a little odd with the two sets of teeth that you need to align to get the lens gear to line up with the lens, because the Sony lenses are so wide. The sony lenses don't have much room under them unless you raise them up well above the rods, but that is true with any FF system.

Comments about Letus35 Follow Focus:
This is a great follow focus by letus. This is made to be just like the Arri 235 camera's follow focus. It's well made, all parts are made of metal and fully adjustable for mounting it. This also has a reversible gear.
