I have an Inspiron laptop. I bought the HP Wireless TV Connect to connect to my Panasonic TV. I can connect with an HDMI cable, but this device does not work. I called HP for help. I was connected to some outsourcer with accent, and not very knowledgeable--but very polite. Looong waiting periods and disconnects. They mailed a replacement part, but it was exactly the wrong componenet part of the two pieces. I called back and the HP outsourcer, this time, told me I had to go to B&H for help. The very next day I got a call from HP and they said they are sending me the correct part. HP reps are impressively polite and service/customer oriented! But the product as advertised is not as simple as just plugging in to "almost" any TV/PC. I guess I have one of those ubiquitous "non-almost" PCs.

I previously used an Iogear unit that worked for a few months and died. decided to go with this HP unit. I figured, OK, they have tech support. THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE! On the phone for 3 hours,got transferred 8 times, 2 dropped calls,had to re-introduce myself and explain the problem each time. I was finally told " I don't know what to tell you." B&H were VERY accomodating with their customer service with the return and very personable. I will deal with them in the future. I think it would be a pleasure. Looking forward to visit their store in NYC in the near future.

Plugged the PC adapter into my computer's HDMI and USB ports and the TV adapter into the HDMI port on the TV and as soon as the two synced with each other I was streaming from my PC to my TV. It really was as easy as that.
I am using the HP Wireless TV connect with a Windows 7 HP Pavillion laptop and a Sharp LED TV. They are about 15 ft. apart.
