Designed for capturing your 3D adventures and memories, the Sony HDR-TD20V Full HD 3D Handycam Camcorder features dual full HD sensors that shoot true 3D videos with 1920 x 1080 60p/24p resolution. Capture eye-popping home movies that will blow your friends and family away when viewed on your 3D HDTV or the sufficient 3.5" LCD TruBlack display, which requires no special 3D glasses. Of course, those 3D movies can also be viewed in 2D. Plus, the camera can record straight 2D movies and capture digital stills as well. It features an internal 64GB embedded flash memory for storing your footage. The HDR-TD20V utilizes two "Exmor R" sensors, which capture 1920 x 1080 3D video and are back-illuminated for excellent shooting, even in low light conditions.
Other features that facilitate the camcorder's impressive video quality include full HD 2D 1920 x 1080 60p/24p recording and dual wide-angle Sony G lenses that afford a broader perspective for enhanced wide angle shooting in both 2D and 3D modes. Sony's Optical SteadyShot image stabilization also boosts the overall video quality. Plus, there's a 12x 2D optical zoom, 10x 3D optical zoom and 17x extended zoom. In order to match the audio recording with the high-quality video, the camcorder features a 5.1 channel surround sound microphone with wind noise reduction, which helps keep the all-encompassing dynamic audio as clear as possible.
In addition to the integrated microphone, there are also microphone and headphone jacks, as well as integrated Clear Phase stereo speakers for true, dynamic audio during field playback. The HDR-TD20V is even equipped with a manual control dial, Active Interface Shoe for attaching various Intelligent Accessories, an HDMI type-C mini output, a built-in light and flash for the 20.4 megapixel still image capture function, Highlight Playback, Event Browse, Intelligent Auto, and Golf Shot. This camera is amazing. Admittedly I am a big 3D fan, but I searched long and hard before I found a 3D video camera that I thought was worth the money. The first day I got it I went out and shot some video of falling snow, incredible. When the image is paused on the camera's LCD screen it actually looks like there's snow floating in front of it.

Most the time the 2D video looks great, but you are wondering what it looks alike if it is 3D? In 3D video you will get to involve in the "present" or 1st person condition. For a beautiful flower, the 3D almost makes you to "smell" the fragrance. You can see the 3D image from the LCD dispaly right away without the need of 3D glasses.The capture of 20.4 magapixel digital still images is excellent. One problem for me to take my grandchildren in the water park is that the LCD screen almost can not make the images under strong sun light. The camcorder body is too wide for comfortable sometime especial for zoom in and out or to take still images.

I have used this camera on 2 trips with 1 spare battery and several memory cards I could record all day and not run in to any problems. I do have a problem with having to move a switch from 3D to 2D to take a still picture, I can view my 3D recording in 2D on my display while still recording in 3D so why can’t I take a still by just pushing the same type of button? I love the 3D it looks so good on my TV.
