The Digital Juice Articulating Arm and Mini Clamp lets you attach small displays, lights, microphones, and other accessories on to your prosumer or professional camcorders, while keeping them out of your line-of-sight.
This sturdy, lightweight, and versatile unit is composed of two equal-length pivoting arms on a central locking joint. Each arm terminates in another pivoting joint with a 1/4” x 20 screw mount end. All three joints can be adjusted independently of each other and then simultaneously locked down using the single central locking knob. Either end of the arm can be used to attach accessories or to mount the arm on your camera.
The included shoe mount adapter and Mini Clamp provides even more mounting flexibility. The standard shoe mount adapter fits on any standard shoe mount to hold accessories above the camera. Using the practical and lightweight Mini Clamp, you can attach accessories via the Articulating Arm to your tripod leg, a table edge, or any stable surface.

While not the best piece of machining I've owned, this articulating arm is certainly adequate for light loads. It depends in part on the geometry, how you bend the arm, and how far out you extend it, lever action (see HS physics review book).
The shoe mount is my least favorite configuration. Too much play typically on the camera end. You don't want to damage the camera handle/frame. If you have an optional rear handle shoe mount as is the case with some Sony cameras opt to use the 1/4 inch socket instead as it is far more secure. Also mount the load directly over the camera. Using the arm to extend it will work if you are careful.
The clamp adapter is pretty good. There is some play due to the rubber pads inside the jaws, but that protects your tripod sticks or other tubular member you might attach it to. You can mount a seven inch external monitor to your tripod at eye level. This is especially handy where the camera has to be up high to shoot over a crowd. Its also handy for crane shots where you can position the monitor where it'll be easiest to see.
I use a fairly heavy seven inch high definition monitor to check cameras in a two or more camera shoot and to provide easier manual focusing. The arm is adequate for the job yet small and light enough to travel in a kit bag along with the monitor and cables.

I bought this to attach a monitor to my rig, or tripod.
The israeli arm is great. No problems.
The mini clamp is not great. It doesn't grip well, and wasn't strong enough to hold the weight of my 7 inch monitor. I tried tightening it down more, and ended up stripping it. So, now it's useless.
Don't buy this combo. Get the israeli arm by itself and use a better clamp.

Comments about Digital Juice Articulating Arm and Mini Clamp:
While a great product to have in the equipment box, note that you need to tighten it thoroughly while at the same time being careful not to over-tighten. This is strictly a judgement call, as I had one where the reverse threads actually caused the tightening bolt to loosen from the unit and I had to process a warranty claim. Great for light objects, but even a 7" field monitor would do better to use a standard-size super clamp and articulating arm

I use it for mounting my Ninja2 to my tripod. Works great. Will also top mount the Ninja2 from my EX1R rear shoe. Small and compact, easy to use.

Comments about Digital Juice Articulating Arm and Mini Clamp:
After two months of owning it and using it less than ten times the clamp failed. It was used for holding my 7 inch monitor on my tripod leg. The arm still seems to be salvageable so I'm looking for an alternate clamp option to go with what I purchased since it's just past it's warranty.

Included clamp holds on tight to the tripod, or you can remove the clamp and screw it into your professional camera. Position the monitor right where you need it. Supports my Marshall 7" monitor very well.

Whether for an audio recorder, obscure camera views, an LCD monitor, or a number of different applications, this mount adds incredible flexibility to high-end video productions. The machining is quality, and it grips like an angry lobster. Would recommend this for more applications than I can count.
