On the other hand, if you are familiar with DSLR's beyond the entry level models, then this video will not be of much use. This is what I expected it to be. The DVD covers the menu layout and how to make use of the camera's feature set. There's no creative detail, as QuickPro has other DVD's to go over photography and creative concepts.
The manual supplied with the camera covers the same information, but this visual guide has someone talking you through it. I'm starting out, as the a77 is my first quality camera with any real versatility. I can't see this DVD being highly useful for seasoned enthusiasts or professionals. Perfect for me though.
Great production quality as I'd expect from other QuickPro Guides DVDs.

Well, glad I didn't cheap out and not buy this, even if you only grasp one thing about your A77 that you didn't know before, it's worth the couple of bucks.Reading the camera's, factory owners manual, at work, during my lunch break, took weeks. I recieved the DVD, and as viewing it hit the pause, and picked up the camera and found myself saying, ahhhh ok, didn't know that....

Somewhat disappointed with the DVD due to the fact that I found it was a glorified review of the manual sent with the camera.
What I expected was some practical suggestions on settings for varied circumstances on the many differrent features/options of the a77.

I am not to pleased with this disc as it omits alot of info about the camera. I feel that there should have been a second disc that goes into more detail.
The disc was cheap enough and I guess one gets what they pay for. I guess it's better than nothing

This video does a good job explaining many of the functions and features of the Sony A77 camera. Due to my inexperience, I viewed the video twice and feel it gave me a good start at understanding the complexities of the camera. I'll use the camera for a few more weeks and then view the video again.
The narrator speaks fast. I stopped the video a few times in order to keep up.
