The U46SM-DS51 14.1" Notebook Computer from ASUS has powerful dual-core Intel Core i5 processing power and seamless multitasking capabilities, which allows for greater energy efficiency and a smooth user experience.
The 14.1" widescreen display is backlit with LED lamps, which use less power and provide better image quality than their CCFL counterparts. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is also the standard for HDTVs. The nVIDIA GeForce GT 630M graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory provides a 1366 x 768 native resolution.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2450M processor. It also comes with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 5400rpm hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, an integrated webcam and microphone. This ASUS notebook also has Altec Lansing stereo speakers. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

After researching for laptops at an affordable price, this was the one that offered better specs than any other at its price.
Pros:
- Beautiful Design
- NVIDIA GeForce 630M GPU made 3D games run smoothly at HIGHEST video settings
- Tons of settings allowing me easy access to save batteries or use at maximum performance
Cons:
- Slow shipment (Of course I live on the West Coast)
- Optimus Technology often causes problems relating to game/system settings (i.e. does not switch GPU intelligently sometimes and could not update drivers unless I manually inserted code to text documents)

I bought this notebook primarily because of it's 1GB dedicated video card. Along with a 750GB Hard Drive, 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 and 8GB of DDR3 RAM, it edits large megapixel pictures, and 1080HD video seemlessly. The physical appearance of the notebook is very classy, and I also like that the 750Gb hard drive is partitioned. I use drive C for my MANY software programs, books, and mp3s. On the second drive I keep my pictures and videos.
