The Olympus Tough TG-320 Digital Camera (Blue) truly is one tough cookie. Whether you have kids or you're an avid adventurer, the TG-320 can stand up to the unique challenges your life presents. The camera boasts a system of waterproof seals and gaskets for taking photos underwater - without an additional housing. It also has the ability to survive a 5' drop. That is an exceptional capability for a digital camera! Other "tough" features include the fact that the TG-320 is dustproof and freezeproof; the latter allows the camera to be used in temperatures as low as 14°F.

When it comes to image capture, the TG-320 doesn't disappoint. The 14Mp 1/2.3" CCD image sensor captures detailed stills - including 3D still images - and 720p high def video. Of course, the sensor can't do it alone. Helping to create your memories would be the TruePic III+ image processor, along with a 28-102mm lens (equivalent), 3.6x optical zoom, dual image stabilization, 2.7" LCD display, a built-in flash and tripod socket. Additional shooting functions like noise reduction, a self-timer, and numerous shooting modes also come in handy.

Other highlights of the TG-320 include the HDMI output and control for sending HD videos directly to your HDTV with ease. Intelligent Auto automatically adjusts the camera's settings depending on the situation and Beauty Mode beautifies portraits by smoothing out wrinkles, softening shadows, and allowing for in-camera edits, among other options. Also, Magic Art Filters provide 12 different special effects for turning your stills and videos into creative works of art - whether you're adding a Watercolor filter or the Fragmented filter.

Our major complaint is that the shutter speed is pretty slow. There is a several second delay between when you push the button and the picture is taken. This is annoying when taking action shots, especially underwater, the fish were half out of the screen by the time it took the picture. And, the battery lasts about one day, when being used frequently. We fully charged it each night, but a few times it died by the end of the day, however we were using it alot, so not really the cameras fault. Also two times the camera shut completely off, went black and would not turn on at all (not because of battery, was fully charged) we took the battery and memory card out and put it back in and it turned back on. Not sure why it did that in the middle of taking pictures. Weird. For the price, it's a good camera. The picture came out great, only complaint is the speed.

This point and shoot camera is great. I've dropped it plenty of times already since I am clumsy. I've also taken great photos underwater. This camera is a great buy for quality and price. As far as quality of images, the megapixels work for my purpose. No complaints. Reccommended.

Bought camera for my child age 5. Serves the purpose. Hard to break,
And getting acceptable shots. She is very happy...
That said I would not accept it for my own personal use. Very average
Pictures. Super slow capture, focus iffy. Sale price just right
          For what you get.

My main use of this camera is for snowmobiling, I needed something that would take good pics but was tough in the weather. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but hope it will be soon. It seems to take great photos, clear with a good zoom. More Options than I have seen on any point and shoot camera. The only thing I will have to get use to is the size of the buttons with my fat fingers.

Comments about Tough TG-320 Digital Camera (Blue):

I have a Nikon slr..and love it... but this compact Olympus is amazing.. first it can be dropped and it has been dropped.. can be brought to the beach and get sandy and wet.. great clear underwater pics.. Its a bit slower than other cameras but its great.. has a built in video camera that takes amazing video... and has special effect features.. my favorite is sparkle.. Number 7.. it makes things sparkle in the distance or your teeth or jewelry.. it is fabulous.. also great for self portraits when you turn it around and take your own pic. I love this little camera and I have bought 3 of them for gifts over the past 3 yrs... We take this to water parks in the pool and capture those moments where sometimes you cant get if you dont own a camera that can get wet. The battery is not the best.. so I recommend a charger and or a spare.. but for the price its the best camera out there.. I tried a few others in the $150- $200 range Fuji and Kodak.. they were horrible.. Pls you will not be disappointed with this camera... and the color makes it easier to find and makes it fun.

Comments about Tough TG-320 Digital Camera (Blue):

I use the Olympus Tough series cameras for my daily work, taking 2000 to 3000 photos per month as a marine surveyor in the Port of New Orleans. Cameras are subject to heavy rain, sweat, bumps, climbing around ships, extremely humid conditions. These cameras typically last me 18 to 24 months of extremely hard use. I can get useable night photos in a barely lit ships cargo hold, when set on ASA1600. The wide angle works well enough to get most of a cargo hold. I can zoom in from the top of a ships cargo hold to a subject 100 feet away, with equavelent distance of about 15 feet. Battery life is a bit short with a flash, So I usually keep 1 or 2 spare batteries in my pocket for a full days work.

Comments about Tough TG-320 Digital Camera (Red):

I use the TG-320 as a hobby camera enthusiast. It offers a great deal for the money. Water proof, shock resistant, dust and dirt proof. Just drop it in your pocket and you have a 14MPix camera on the ready at all times.

I bought this camera for climbing mt. Kilimanjaro in the cold, rainy season and it held up to the rain, mist, cold, drops, and dust for an affordable price! I dont know much about camera specs but the zoom and pictures are as good as any camera Ive had :)

I bought this camera last year. I planned on using it for two underwater trips. It qiut working and had to go back to the factory each time. Needless to say all those wonderful pictures I was looking forward to went down the drain.

Ordering process quick and easy. Everything showed up on time as promised. Only issue, I found the same camera for $50 cheaper two days after I gave this gift away.
