Comments about Lowepro Event Messenger 150 For DSLR + Tablet (Mica):
Picked this up for a vacation, and it will cetainly force you to select carefully what you carry with you! A 70-200/2.8 will NOT fit if attached to the body, but will as a separate lens. The tripod collar will crowd things a lot, especially if you have a QR plate on it.
I managed to fit: a Canon 50d with 24-105/4L IS attached; a 70-200/2.8L, 50/1.4 and a 1.4tc. The camera and lens must lay on edge to fit, the 50 and 1.4tc are on the very bottom under 2 separators. Extra batteries must go into an end pocket. That's stuffed and bulges the front panel enough to make latching the cover difficult. Also if the front bulges much the compartments in front become squeezed too much to be useful for anything but paper-thin stuff. If you select this properly considering what you will carry and not overload it, this is a great bag.

I am just getting into photography...and i had a basic camera bag which came with the kit lens when i bought my slr camera (Nikon D5000) but i was able to carry only 2 lens with me. Recently i purchased 35mm 1.8G lens and was looking for reasonable priced camera bag which should fit into my requirements. I read lot of reviews of different camera bags.
Finally i zeroed in at lowepro event messanger 150 because
1) it was in my budget
2)i am able to carry D5000 camera with 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 35mm 1.8G lens along with my sony handicam, 3 radio triggers and battery charger and an extra battery.
3) it doesnt look like typical camera bag
4) i love the Dual-Mode Flap Design for Quiet Access which really helps when i am using the bag indoors.
i saw few reviews about this bag online but i wasnt quite sure about the thickness of interior padding but when i got the bag i was very happy with the interior padding.
i went for 150 instead of 100 because of the option for carrying the tablet but right now i dont have one but when i get one i will be able to carry the tablet in the bag.

I use the bag to contain D5100 camera with 18-55 package lens, the 55-300 package lens and a medium sized flash unit. The pockets are just right for spare battery and charger as well as various filters and incidentals. The larger fabric slots hold a notebook, small reflector that fits on my flash.

Very easy to use, good quality materials, and in green color you wouldn't easily notice there is a camera and lenses inside, I mean it's not an invitation for thieves.

A nice messenger bag that can carry a camera body and 2 to 3 lenses. Well padded inside to protect your equipment and an extra pocket for you iPad or a similar tablet. Water expelling on the outside. Very happy with it after 2 weeks of use.

It was well built but it is very tight for my 60D woth 18-135 attached and 70-200 F4 and the flash. Have not had the chance to really put it to use yet. Now it is 6.2 x 13.5 x 10.5, and it will be perfect if it was 7" deep instead of 6.2". Check to make sure your gears will fit properly in this bag before make the purchase.

I got this to commute to work with my iPad and camera. The quality is very good for a [$]bag and it's light. Quiet velcro flap option is great for quiet shooting situations. The iPad fits snugly, but you won't be able to fit a full frame dslr with the iPad e.g. 5d mkii--it pushes the middle out and it's difficult to clip and secure the flap. It's a bit narrow, so if you are a 6'0 male, it may look like a murse on you. I decided to exchange this for the event messenger 250(only $10 more), which holds and iPad or a 13 inch laptop easily and a FF camera. This bag (150) is ideal for a very small dslr or micro 4/3 camera and an iPad.

Comments about Lowepro Event Messenger 150 For DSLR + Tablet (Mica):
I purchased this because I needed a bag for carrying my Canon 60D at a wedding, as I didn't want to have it over my shoulder throughout the event. It easily fit my camera body, Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens, a bottle of water, and my H1 microphone and windscreen (I was primarily doing bits of video here and there). If I had more lenses, I could have probably fit at least one more in the bag as well.
The shape is somewhat box-like, is sturdy and maintains its form. This is a plus for protection, but there are likely bags with less padding that could make for a sleeker profile. Nonetheless, this worked out really well for me- at dinner, I could rest this sitting on the ground under my chair, and easily reach and grab my camera as needed.
I haven't used it a ton since the event, as I have a combo laptop/camera bag that I use most of the time, but I am very happy with this purchase, and I think it fills what had been a gap in my camera carrying/storage solutions.
