Ordered this HDTV to replace my "old" 60" Sony DLP that had a bad light engine. This is a good bare-bones LED TV at a good discounted price a couple weeks before the Super Bowl. I didn't want 3D and didn't need the SmartTV functions since my BluRay players already has them. The sound is poor, just like most TVs these days, because manufacturers are not installing subwoofers anymore. So, you get lots of treble and mid-range sounds but next to no bass sounds. After adjusting the backlight and color settings to some found on the web, the TV looks great. And the 3.5mm jack on the back made connecting to my wireless headphones a snap!....

I am a film editor and I wanted to upgrade our families TV watching experience to a larger screen. I've use Samsung's products and have been very happy with the picture but now it was for my own use.
Needless to say the picture quality didn't disappoint. It's beautiful. The picture is sharp and bright with no reflections on the screen from surrounding lights in the room. I was also impressed by the sound quality before hooking up my stereo. I don't have to use the stereo all the time for good sound.
My only (and I don't like using the word complaint) is there are a lot of video setting options for the picture you want. This is good for me, as I understand many of these options, but for my mom that would be different.
I personally like the way I could "dial" in the picture to my taste. The menu was very user friendly and easy to navigate.
Overall, my family and I are very pleased with our new purchase and would gladly buy/recommend this TV to my friends and family.

Originaly in the market for a 55" TV to go above my mantle as our 42" was extremely undersized and outdated in the technology department. After seeing the picture quality of the 55" Samsung series 6, I was sold. That is until I noticed the extremely small bezel around the screen, after noticing this, I realized I actually had enough room to step up to the 60". For pure picture quality, none of the TVs i looked at compared. If you need all of the bells and whistles and don't have them in all of the other components in your system, this isn't for you. For instance, the speakers are small and insufficient (Most people nowadays use surround sound setup so this is a non issue). HDMI? the two are more than sufficient for my use as I run everything from a switch box with one cable going to the wall. For my money, This screen was exactly what I wanted, An amazing screen for me to use with my existing equipment that blows me away everytime I watch something on it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

After researching features, size, and prices, I ended up settling for this 60" LED TV that has a fantastic picture, good enough sounds and excellent performance overall. If you have an Xbox/PS3, a Roku or Blue Ray player to access the internet and stream video such as Netflix or Amazon on demand, then this TV is for you!
