For me, the vPulse are the most comfortable earphones I've ever used, the angled sound tube giving them a natural fit in my ears, rather than the 'artificial' comfort of foam. Both sound and comfort are on par with prior generations of phones of upto 2 or 3 times the price. I would call the sound neutral, and relaxed in a pleasing way except for the bass which is in a league of it's own - the bass stands out without being overblown or fatiguing. Sweet sound!

And I should know because I'd listened through my venerable Er4p (Etymotics) for almost a decade. Apart from the general accuracy & mind blowing reproduction of percussion, the Ety's usp was also 5 stars for Comfort, when used with foam earpieces.

Last month, I had just settled to buy the Shure EK215(?), having researched it for 2 weeks when luck took me to a website, the day before the purchase and there it was, the vPulse, and unambiguously great reviews! Having worn the vPulse for a few weeks, the reviews are all very correct!

    The good:
    - Fine sound quality
    - Multiple earbud sizes for a snug fit
    - Tangle-free cord
    The bad:
    - If you brush the cord slightly, sound travels up it and into your ears. This creates a very annoying noise if you're walking anywhere.
    - The in-cord iPhone controls are hard to operate. It's difficult to feel which button you're about to press, which means you might hang up the phone rather than turn up the volume.
    - Talking on the phone is difficult. Because the earbuds fill your ear completely, you hear your own voice incredibly loud, which is hard to get used to.

    Overall:
Good, but they lack attention to detail that would make them great

Comments about vPulse In-Ear Stereo Headphones with Mic/Remote (Classic Black):

After reading reviews before buying about unreliability in the first month or so I held off on writing a review, but now I can safely say they have survived 2 months of heavy use and are a solid product and a great sound. The bass is super crisp and does not take away from the treble at all. Beats by Dre take second place to these 'phones. Velodyne has mastered the balance of bass and treble that delivers an excellent sound no matter if you are on the subway or sitting in the library doing homework. Forget the mainstream trends, grab a pair of vPulse!!

Comments about vPulse In-Ear Stereo Headphones with Mic/Remote (Electric Blue):

This pair sounds great and it's not super expensive. The flat design of the cord means it won't tangle as easily. It works. Comes with enough eartip sizes to accommodate most people.

Cord may be a little short for desk use.

Comments about vPulse In-Ear Stereo Headphones with Mic/Remote (Electric Blue):

I'm rough on in-ear headphones and consequently, have to get a new pair once in a while. My last pair were Klipsch and, particulalrly for the price, were really good, effecient and comfortable. What I didn't like about them were the cheap cord/wiring that eventually broke, I believe after less than a year's use.
I listen to many different kinds of music, particularly loud rock, albeit some classical and pop once in a while. I carefully researched earphones and many good things were said about the Velodyne Vpulse. Hence, I purchased them (Through B&H who, in my humble opinion, are really good to work with and easy as well)and am totally pleased. The are very efficient and the bass is very, very good, solid, crisp and loud without any mudiness or distrotion. The cord/wiring is flat and very strong, tangle resistent and Velodyne even put a volume level as well as a cord band to prevent tangles when you through them in a pocket. The build quality is absolutely solid. I suppose they look okay but that doesn't matter to me. They come with a carrying case, which is useless to me, and six pairs of earbud tips (3 sizes and two colors). I used the smallest pair of tips and they fit comfortably into my ears, without fatigue and seating themselevs very well. I would most certainly buy again. Please note that I rarely do reveiws unless I fell strongly about a product, good or bad.

I use those headphones every day and I appreciate their comfort and their great overall sound quality. They have an original look and I love the color! My only complaint would be that, given the efficiency of the reduction of ambient sound, there are some interfering sounds when you move or play with the wire. Also, with old versions of ipod, the 3-button remote doesn't work. Great product still!

Great looking and comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

The adjustable ear pieces both isolate ambient noise and allow for a better listening experience.

The non-tangle cord and in-line microphones with controls are exactly what I was looking for.

The cord may be a slightly too short.

These are pretty good IEM headphones. They sound very smooth and warm. With the right tip they can block out a lot of outside noise. I use the Comply TX-400 tips. I tweak my Sansa Clip EQ so these sound even better now. I'm not a big fan of the flat cable because it can still get tangled like the round cable. They are well worth the money.

Comments about vPulse In-Ear Stereo Headphones with Mic/Remote (Electric Blue):

I bought these headphones for my iPhone specifically because it had a microphone and good bass. The sound quality was very good for the price and I was very satisfied. Unfortunately the microphone stopped working after 10 days so I returned it.

Great bass, with decent mids and treble. Bass is clear and powerful, and does not interfere with the rest. Build quality is great, especially the wide tangle free cord.Complete isolation from outside world. Even without playing music the sound isolation is similar to an ear plug.Overall performance will greatly increase when used in conjunction with a portable amp, but one is not necessary by any means.Even though the sound isolation is good, I would suggest different foam tips for a better fit. The stock ones can get very wet if used for a long period of time, and a material more breathable then silicone would help.

I been looking for headphones past ten 10 year and I bought alot of them (nose, beats, shure, etc.) The vpulse fit my ears and has outstanding sound. The sound quality is 9.5 out of 10 ( nothing in this world is perfect). The bass and high are extremely clean need truly sick. They are also built very well; very durable. If your going to get some headphones these are the ones to get.
