Rollei/Agfa's Infrared 400 is a unique infrared-sensitized panchromatic black and white negative film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° without filtration. It is sensitive to IR wavelengths up to 820nm and can be used to produce unique halation effects with filtration and by varying the exposure length. It is suitable for working in both daylight and tungsten conditions and is characterized by a fine grain structure, notable sharpness, and high resolving power. Additionally, a good contrast profile offers clear separation between shadow and highlight regions. The film's polyester base has been tested to an LE-500 (life expectancy 500 years) archival rating and also features anti-curling and anti-static coatings, as well as a special coating to promote smooth film transportation within the camera. Additionally, this clear base is particularly well-suited to scanning applications.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA 135-36 Black and White Infrared Film (2 Pack):

As the title states this is a fun film. As others have stated it's not as good as Efke IR 820 or Kodak HIR films, but it's the last remaining infrared black and white film on the market. Please support Rollei and their alternative film market!

Comments about Rollei/AGFA 135-36 Black and White Infrared Film (2 Pack):

Used this infrared film with a Canon Elan 7E. The first positive to note is that the film does not fog from the Canon camera's IR frame counter. Shot a roll using a Hoya 25A red filter (cut-off around 600nm) and picked up strong near-infrared signal that greatly enhanced the visible light image. Most pleasing effect. Film easy to develop in Ifosol-3 (9 min. at 20C, 1:9 dilution) and produced good contrast images with grain typical of ISO 400 film.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA 135-36 Black and White Infrared Film (2 Pack):

Shot with a 715 nm filter, nice glow from foliage and dramatic contrast between sky and clouds. Overall I'd say better Wood effect and less grain than SFX 200. I used EI 6 to compensate for the filter, my -1 EV brackets were about right so I'd use EI 12 next time. I was moderately careful loading/unloading, no fogging whatsoever. This was my first attempt at doing IR with film, the fact that I didn't screw it up means this stuff isn't too hard to use. I used it for a film class, got a few "whoa"s when people saw my prints. Not that my shots were great, but people aren't used to seeing IR film these days so this stuff can make your work stand out.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA 135-36 Black and White Infrared Film (2 Pack):

Probably the best IR film available today. SFX is not as sensitive as this on in the IR part of the spectrum, and Efke is too grainy compared to this one. Meter it at ISO 6.

This product is really user friendly, It has a fair near infrared range and is not so sensitive you need total darkness to exchange film rolls. Nice picture quality.

This is a wonderful IR film. I was extremely happy with the results. I used this in conjunction with a 720 nm filter and the shots have that classic, extreme IR effect. I also liked the fact that I could buy this in a 2 pack....it's very economical that way. This film is as good as people say it is.

The image quality of this film is very nice! I feel that the tones are well-balanced for an infrared. My only struggle was to figure out its correct developing time, but aside from that, it worked out well.
