Fun & Flexible Shooting Modes

6-Scene SR AUTO
Framed scenes are automatically detected and selected into appropriate camera settings: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Night Portrait, and Backlit Portrait.
Pro Low-Light Mode
Ideal for shooting non-moving subjects in low light, this mode automatically takes a series of four high-sensitivity and low-noise exposures and then combines them into an image with less noise than the single exposures.
Dynamic Range (HDR)
This mode uses Multi Frame technology to capture three consecutive photos shot at high speed/under-exposed, normal exposure, and over-exposed. The three images are then layered to an optimum balance of detail in shadow and highlights, eliminating "blackout" or "washout" and producing pleasing, natural gradations.
Face Detection
Face Detection optimizes people pictures by identifying faces and adjusting focus and exposure to ensure bright, clear results. Red-eye removal automatically detects and corrects flash reflection for a perfect end result. The Face Detection can simultaneously recognizes up to 6 faces in a photo. Share your group portraits using the zoom up function in playbacks, checking each detected face. Each priceless expression can be cropped and saved in clear high resolution results.
Face Detection Timer Function
The Face Detection Self-timer automatically sets off after the number and position of faces in a scene are detected, snapping the photo at the right moment, with all the faces in focus and properly exposed. Just the two of you? Couple Timer waits until two faces are close together in the frame. Select "Near," "Close Up" or "Super Close" depending on the level of intimacy you're aiming for! Out and about with your friends? Group Timer mode gives you time to get into position as it waits until the number of faces are detected in the frame. You can select up to 4 faces and enjoy the moment ready to be captured!
Motion Panorama
Lets you take panorama photos as simply as 1, 2, 3! The camera automatically stitches together consecutive shots for a 360° view, with simple in-frame guidance to ensure the images are aligned. The resulting image is saved to the memory card as an impressive panorama.
One Touch Underwater Movie Recording
With just a touch of a button, shoot movies underwater. No settings. Just press, shoot and enjoy the movie.
Tracking Auto Focus
Keeps fast moving subjects in the frame and in focus, even at 5x zoom extended. Great for capturing dynamic close-ups.
Versatile Shooting Modes
In addition to a wide range of shooting modes, the FinePix XP30 offers a selection of versatile scene positions that ensure optimum results no matter what the scene, including SR Auto, Auto, Program Auto, Natural Light, Natural Light & With Flash, Portrait, Portrait Enhancer, Landscape, Motion Panorama, Sport, Night, Snow, Sunset, Night (Tripod), Beach, Underwater, Underwater (Wide), Underwater (Macro), Party, Flower, and Text.

Comments about FinePix XP150 Digital Camera (Orange):

This camera has a lot of nice features, but the reason I picked this camera over one of the others is the GPS tagging built in. In all other ways this camera is not bad, the water proof/shock proof feature is great. However, the GPS is useless. The camera can not get a GPS fix in areas where everything else can. Furthermore, the GPS fix is almost always 100 to 5000 feet off of accurate. If you want your pictures tagged accuratly, you will have to retag them later on your computer. One thing I really do like is the fact that the shutter button, and movie button are seperate, therefore, I can set the camera on green mode (easy), and give it to my wife, she can easily take pictures, or shoot video without having to change any settings.

Comments about FinePix XP150 Digital Camera (Orange):

So i bought this for a camping trip and figured it would get some water and elements thrown at it, and it did. Used it under water, probably at a max depth of 5ft, nothing major. The auto>AUTO focus is pretty handy, which toggles through all the diferent types of pictures depending on the shooting environment, does it automatically, sometimes its wrong so I just go and change it to auto. It really is just a point and shoot camera, even though it has a high pixel rate, the pictures dont come out that great. I have a fuji 900, about 4yrs old that is also a point and shootand that much better quality pictures. I was thinking of returning it but aww whatever it works under water (so far) and thats the main reason i wanted, low light pics are poor, give it some sun and it will do the trick! The gps thingy is pretty cool, but cant really say i "need" it, but some people love extra dumb stuff they dont use, so its on there and works well also. Another thing, you can use several different types of memory cards, i was planning on using my XD card, but it doesnt use that type, but it will take an SD card, had I 16GB card handy and it read all of it, dont know if it can hald a 32 or 64? but dont think you would want to take that many pics for the picture quality. But i cant say i would recommend it due to picture quality, maybe im just @n@l about it? but outside of that, havent had any problems. Hope this helps!?
