The 46" KDL46BX450 LCD HDTV from Sony is a slim, stylish screen that has an integrated NTSC / ATSC / QAM tuner, which receives digital terrestrial, analog cable, and unencrypted digital cable signals alike. With integrated BRAVIA Sync, there's always something to watch.
Fine details and textures appear in whatever you're watching, even in flat areas. Powered by Sony's advanced noise reduction algorithm, this technology boosts image clarity with heightened contrast and depth that you won't find on most televisions.
Watch movies the way they were meant to be seen. Sony's 24p True Cinema technology allows the TV to maintain a movie's original 24 frames per second (fps) rate so it looks less like television and more like it would in the movie theater. This set is our residential primary viewing set. It set up quickly and worked properly when switched on. The picture is spectacular. There is one mild disappointment: we use an external soundbar, and this set gives fewer options for control of external sound than our previous 32" Sony Bravia. We can live with that. Good news is that the "normal" viewing mode fills the entire height of the screen (it didn't on the 32" set) so only the sides of the screen are not used. I cannot bear to watch the distorted "wide zoom" modes - why are they even included? The remote is an improvement on the previous remote with more logical button placement and functions. If the set were stolen tomorrow, I would replace it with the same thing.
