This is a great Television which comes as advertised. The set up is easy, the picture is great. THe sound isn't that bad (as you know it's always better with a home theater set up, but stand alone is ok). The internet connectivity is great. Here's the deal, I assume this price point reflects that the internet connection although wireless depends on a USB plug...thus taking a way one of your USB port (there are only two). I was worried that I might have this 'flash drive' looking device sticking out of the side of the TV. No worries it actually comes with a cool little stand and a long cord so you can tuck it away almost anywhere. Be advised that all the plugins are on the REAR RIGHT side of the TV (as you look at the screen they are on your LEFT in the back, side plugins on same side) So prepare accordingly.

This is an excellent HD-TV for the money. I did look at all other brands but this model has super clear picture with excellent colors. CNET did evaluate this TV and and did recommend it. It is super light. Only negative is the sound. I did buy a sound bar and now I have a good unit in a big family room.

Comments about Sony KDL55EX640 55" BRAVIA Internet LED TV:
Replacing our old HDTV (projection type,46",DLP chip)after the $200 lamp expired for the second time, we were amazed at the greatly improved picture! Sound from rear-facing speakers is quite good (old set had vertical speaker panels on either side, giving amazing on-set sound with synthesized "surround" effect; I feared the new designs would require an added sound bar / extra expense). Set up was straightforward, not complicated. I did have to call cable provider Verizon for the instructions to program cable box, so box commands also turn this set on/off. Had to call Sony for web-browsing instructions (where/how to enter a URL) - they apologized, this was omitted from the user's manual.

Comments about Sony KDL55EX640 55" BRAVIA Internet LED TV:
This is a truly awesome TV. The picture is beautiful as all Sony TVs. It is super slim and the HD quality cannot be compared to any other brand. Now let me tell you the wireless internet addition is great, has apps for almost anything and everything, I can listen to Pandora and the sound quality is spectacular, even shop on @, read news from internet pages, you name it. The remote has a dedicated button for Netflix so connecting to it is a breeze. I am extremely happy with my new TV. I always advise friends and family to get Sony, I would definitely recommend this one to all the techies out there. The only Con I always have had on Sony TVs is that the remote could be better, now this beautiful TV deserves a higher quality one, but it's ok I can live with it.
