The SZ-31MR iHS Digital Camera (Black) from Olympus gives you the photographic tools to produce photos and videos that express your own creativity. A 16MP CMOS sensor captures details in a high-resolution format, while the amazing 24x zoom lens can handle pretty much any sort of photographic situation--from the very wide-angle 25mm for landscapes and interiors all the way up to 600mm (equivalents in 35mm format) long telephoto that captures wildlife or sports shots far from the the subject. A 3" high-resolution 920,000-dot touch-panel monitor is ideal for composing and reviewing your photos and videos, and you can even use the touch panel for some camera controls.
Beautiful full HD 1080p video is available at the touch of a button, and Magic Filter effects can be used with video as well as still photos. High-speed shooting at up to 7 frames per second at full resolution is on tap as well. Smart Panorama and 3D Photo modes provide more ways to express yourself creatively. The SZ-31MR is compatible with Eye-Fi wireless memory cards.

I have owned several Olympus cameras and have loved them all. The SX31MR has it all long zoom, good wide angle, custom options and several multi shot options. All this in a very compact camera that easily fits in your pocket. The only con is that it's a little difficult to navigate the menu to change some of the settings.

We brought this camera on arrival in New York - we wanted a small portable camera that would still give us some creativity visiting all the tourist destinations that 'big apple' has to offer - we were not disappointed. The camera handled all shooting conditions including low light photography. The Zoom for such a small camera is incredible and produces high quality images throughout its range. The range of creative modes are great and we still haven't used half of them yet.
The camera is easy to use and dials are very intuitive.
I would thoroughly recommend this camera.

I use this particular product the majority of the time for shooting photos of large vehicles for trade ins, both exterior and interior shots, and for quick shooting when I don't have my DSLR gear along. The low light settings and built in HD setting are wonderul inside the home for a compact. The HD setting especially for non-flash low light shooting with different tones, window light and other items that can cause imbalance is excellent.
The video was used inside a church for a part of a service from 4-5 pews back and had very good sound quality and again lighting. For an all around compact with wide angle and long zoom this camera is a very good product.
I shoot mainly with high end DSLR gear, wildlife and outdoor scenic photography and am very critical on shots and am very pleased with the features and benefits of this camera.
