It is wonderful to have your monitor protected . This a clear and easy to see through shows the picture just as if there were'nt a thing on it . I wouldnt want my camera not to have one on it . It is very nice.

To tell the truth, The BM-12 that came with my new Nikon D800 had a blemish on it, interfering with the view of the LCD monitor image. B&H replaced the cover with no fuss. The cover is cheap insurance for the monitor against scratches. Wouldn't be without it. It won't fall off.
