If you need to watch video over the network - streaming from a pc or NAS and you don't want to buy a new Smart TV - this is a real option. Specifically purchased so that I could use Plex media centre with it - if you don't know what Plex is, do yourself a favour Google it, install it, use it - its the bomb!
Only complaint is that the Samsung SmartTV hub is a bit hit and miss, sometimes it connects other times it doesn't. Also, Samsung seems to update the Apps for Australia very infrequently (currently there is NO Plex app published for 'E' series bluray players), but this is NOT the case for other regions -so bully for you! I've installed the 'unofficial' app (see the Plex forums)and this works beautifully - imagine XBMC on a bluray player! Kids love it, you get beautiful artwork and movie/TV information automatically generated and presented to you in HD. Oh BTW it does a nice job with BD disks as well! Great all round device.

We purchased this blue ray player because Consumer Reports rated it as one of the top 3-D blue ray players. We can't play any 3-d movies on it. Called Samsung support and after having me jump through hoops basically told me they needed to research why the player wouldn't play 3-d discs. They would get back to me either by phone or email. I'm still waiting.

It interface well with Samsung smart TV, and setup was a breeze. However, if you have an old AV receiver that does't have HDMI you're out of luck. I thought I could use AV component cables to connect to my old receiver but there are no jacks for that. I haven't watch 3D blu ray yet but I am pretty sure it will come out great.

I got this free in a bundle, so the price was GREAT.
Aside from the great price, this unit is very sharp.
It is packed with features, Wifi, 3D, USB, you really couldn't ask for any more cutting edge technology in a Blueray player today. So far it has been absolutely awesome. I attached it to an older 55" plasma that didn't have wifi in my bedroom, now I can stream movies there as well.

my older dvd player was malfunctioning so I decided to update to this Samsung blue-ray 3D player. What a difference in image quality, we love it and wished we upgraded long time ago. The installation was so easy, and it complements the Samsung 3D TV and with the new 3D Samsung glasses we love watching all the 3D movies and shows.

We use this with our Samsung TV and it works seamlessly together. The interface and the remotes match and make it very easy to go between them. Connectivity was very simple and it was very easy to set up and start watching movies.
I played an old DVD first to see how it worked to upconvert them and the image was unexpectedly clear. The quality was much better than anticipated. I'm very happy with how it works.
The buttons on the face of the machine feel a little chincy but overall I like the product.

Very easy initial set up IF you have a HDMI cable ( not included ). Got it right on my wireless network with no problems. The Smart features I have not used because my Samsung 3D TV already hs them and I use it. Plays the Bul-tay disks very well and does a fine job with 3D - I ran Thor and it was excellent. The Smart connection with my Samsung TV changes the TV to the correct input when the device is powered on so no hunting for the correct source.

This DVD player is easy to install and to use. The picture quality is excellent, its movement from one feature to another is quick and responsive, and I'm very happy with it. My only qibble regards the apparent difficulty with switching from one clip to another on a DVD, but otherwise I'd recommend this player highly.
