With the Smart Viera 37" Class E5 Series Full HD LED HDTV, Panasonic, continues to build upon science that brings you tomorrow's technology today. I bought one of these monitors for use in an art installation (video loops). I'll be adding 2 more; the monitor is quite excellent for the price. The included media player circuitry does very well, playing back 10 Mbps MPEG-4 (h.264) files from an SD chip without a hiccup. Have not tried higher data rates, but don't think I'll need to. Screen brightness and color very even, and nicely adjustable. There is a little bit of "over-sharpening" visible on some test patterns, but does not seem to affect "normal" images. I can't comment on audio features, as I'm not using any audio.

I have been watching playoff hockey in standard def and high def since I got this tv about a week ago. The picture is very nice and action looks good - no motion blur. The sound leaves a lot to be desired (very tinny), so I find myself using my audio system instead. The price is too high for this tv, but the 37" size is hard to find and it fits nicely in my armoire, so what are you going to do?! I haven't used the "Smart" functions yet, so can't comment on them. I guess my electronics are a little out of date because neither my satellite receiver or DVD have HDMI out and this tv only comes with one component video input so that messed me up a bit with the connections at first.

I bought this for a monitor at work. I do circuit layout and wanted a larger view of the design. I also love that I do not have to use my reading glasses with e-mail because it is so much larger now.
Everything worked from the start after plugging it in. I did have to buy a cable for connecting to the computer.
The image is very clear, but the color could be better. When error messages show up in my cad program they are suppose to be red, but almost look black on this TV. I tried looking at the settings, but could not get it to show correctly.
With watching movies it work excellent. I did not notice any issue with the color, but I am color blind so I could be wrong.
The only cons I have are that the USB, and SD card slots are on the back. They point to the side, but they are back about 4 inches from the side so it is difficult to get at them.

I bought this TV because Consumers Reports rated its predecessor, Class E3 Series, #1 in the 37inch size catagory. It fits perfect in a 36inch cabinet. It has all the bells and whistles and I have just scratched the surface learning. It has only been 2 weeks since I bought the TV and so far everthing is working great and a beautiful HD picture too.
