Product Highlights
  • Up to 81% Noise Reduction
  • Adjustable Headband
  • Thick Around-Ear Cushions
  • Y-Cable with Slider
  • Standard 3.5mm Plug

The RP-HC200 Noise Canceling Around-Ear Stereo Headphones (Black) from Panasonic provide high-quality audio and noise cancellation in a comfortable and lightweight design. The headphones have large drivers that deliver crisp, clear audio with a wide frequency response. The adjustable headband provides a snug fit, while the thick around-ear cushions offer lasting comfort and natural noise isolation.

Active noise cancellation technology is built into the headphones, reducing ambient noise by as much as 81% (14dB). In addition to blocking sound so you can focus on your music, the noise cancellation technology also allows you to listen at lower volume levels, potentially reducing the risk of hearing damage. The noise canceling circuit can be turned on and off as needed, and unlike other noise canceling headphones, the RP-HC200 suffers no loss of audio quality in either mode.

The cable has a traditional Y-style design, complete with a slider for convenient adjustments. The standard 3.5mm stereo mini plug is compatible with a variety of MP3 players, CD players, laptops, tablets, and more. Whether you're listening at home, at work, on an airplane, or on a bus, the RP-HC200 is a perfect choice.

I've had several different noise cancelling headphones. Let's face it, you're not going to get freaking amazing sound quality out of your ipod or laptop. I bought these headphones for plane and train travel. They can take a beating; they fit well; And they sound better than those white ear buds. The ear cups block out plenty of sound. But the noise cancellation is pretty disappointing. The cancellation does neutralize some airplane engine noise, but not all of it. Bottom Line: If you want great noise cancellation or awesome sound quality, Spend more money and get the top of the line. But if you're ok with decent, over the ear head phones for under $[$], these will do the trick

As noise cancelling headphones, the product is worth about what it costs. It only cancels about 85% of low frequencies --- no high or mid frequencies at all. So the low rumble of a jet engine is reduced, but forget about gasoline lawn mower engines or people's voices (or babies crying). The headphones themselves sound excellent -- although a little heavy on the bass end. The construction seems reasonably sturdy (again, for the price). I'd give the headphones' sound reproduction at least 4 stars but the noise cancellation feature is no more than 2. Average = 3 stars.

Comments about RP-HC200 Noise Canceling Around-Ear Stereo Headphones (Black):

I'm on the road about 100 days a year - often by air; and I thought noise-cancelling headsets made a lot of sense while flying. I had the pleasure of using my friend's Bose 300 over-the-ears one time and there's no question they're the gold standard. Instead, I've now bought two lower-priced sets...this one comes recommended by most reviewers. Well, they're perfectly fine, but they probably only cancel out 20% more noise than ordinary over-the-ear headsets. However, the in-store (unadvertised) price at B&H made them an irresistible buy - so I'm quite happy to use them for a couple of years before upgrading.

I was a little skepticle buying these headphones because of the price. After seeing some noise cancelling headphones selling for 10 times the price I wasn't sure how good they could be. I was pleasantly surprised on how good they worked. There is a noticable difference when you turn on the noise cancelling. It does knock the backround noise down to a nice level.

The sound on these headphones is very good for the price - and the noise cancelling is better than on similarly-priced models. The very plastic covers do betray the price point, however, and they don't fold up for ease of transport.

Comments about RP-HC200 Noise Canceling Around-Ear Stereo Headphones (Green):

These headphones work nicely - maybe not at the same level of others that may cost $200+, but they should be fine for most people.
